PC Coaches bought six SR Solos from Nottingham City Transport last year, and five of these now carry branding for various Lincoln area routes. One of two branded for the 49, YJ11OHC is seen passing the Methodist chapel in Thorpe on the Hill whilst working the 08:45 from Bassingham to Lincoln.

Remarkable for an embattled railroad that lasted less than 10 years, evidence of the Penn Central remains on a set of gondolas assigned to hauling freshly creosoted ties. These gons were among the first rail cars purchased by the PC back in 1968.
