A very unique sight at this year's RIAT was this Swiss Air Force 'combo' - an AS332 Super Puma helicopter displaying with their delightful nine-ship PC-7 Aerobatic Team.

Photographing buses in Covid-19 Britain is increasingly a case of photographing vehicles which are not carrying passengers, awaiting the inevitable cutbacks to public transport which are to come. This view sees PC Coaches' recently-arrived ex Xelabus Scania K230UB Omnilink YT12YUK making its way empty out of Bassingham with the 09:00 49 to Lincoln.
The villages between Lincoln and Newark are – for now - well-served by PC Coaches services 47 (Lincoln to Newark), 48 (Lincoln to Witham St Hughs), and 49 (Lincoln to Bassingham) which each operate on a largely two-hourly basis.

Remarkable for an embattled railroad that lasted less than 10 years, evidence of the Penn Central remains on a set of gondolas assigned to hauling freshly creosoted ties. These gons were among the first rail cars purchased by the PC back in 1968.

About Oldham Borough Police.
Oldham received a Charter of Incorporation in 1849 and the newly-elected town council immediately set about forming the Oldham Borough Police Force.
The new force consisted of a superintendent, a sergeant and 10 constables. The 12 men were to police the local population of 50,000. The superintendent - effectively the chief constable - was paid the princely sum of £100 per year.
Over the years the Oldham force produced several men who went on to be chief constables of larger forces. Perhaps the most famous officer was Robert Peacock who went on to command Manchester City Police for over 28 years.
Oldham Borough Police continued to serve the people of Oldham until 1969 when, along with 12 other forces, it became part of Lancashire Constabulary.
The area became the Oldham Division of Greater Manchester Police in 1974.

PC Issac Ambler joined Manchester City Police on 13 March 1860, aged twenty-two.
Unlike many of his contemporaries who left. After less than a year or two, PC Ambler, true to his name, sauntered slowly on, staying on the same division and never seeking promotion.
He finally retired on 1 July 1891, having served for thirty-one years.
