Our Daily Challenge ... patterns.
The bark of the leopard tree forms abstract patterns and tones as it falls off and is replaced.
trying to stick to a colour scheme for a month, or at least for a few designs... Autumn has just begun in Australia and it's started getting windy and rainy... not that these patterns really reflect that, but i thought the colour scheme would be nice for this time of year
Appalachian Trail, south end of Schaghticoke Ridge.
Nora and I used micro-spikes to hike three miles up the south end of the ridge to a small stream I’ve photographed ice on before, hoping to get a few ice shots this year. The hike was great although we had to push it because of the incoming snow storm. And, the stream did not disappoint; it was loaded with ice formations which it has taken me a while to sort through.
i wish i took this shot a bit more sharp..and maybe focused on the infant buds on top..i was sooo confused while taking this. spent an hour sitting with the camera, tripod and a little stool and this plant, but still wasnt satisfied
