Don't know what these are called. Again this was shot at Lalbagh flower show, Bangalore, Karnataka, India using my recent purchase Tamron 18 270.
A fancy Victorian wall tile design, this time by the interior designer Richardson. Looks good as a single motif, but should pattern up nicely.

I think this has been the more satisfying model I've ever folded. Probably because I miserably failed different times in the past year, succeeding in folding this tessellation gave me back the old "origami thrill" when you're able to solve a cp. Thanks Daniel for sharing the cp and creating this beautiful model!!

tiny droplets make this look like a ladies diamond necklace. I am not one for spiders... but sometimes I really appreciate what they do!
The scales of a pangolin, rolling itself up for protection, showing its true beauty, looking like a Protea flower

Some days I see objects and living creatures. Other days I just see patterns and shapes. Have a great week everyone!
Corliss has always sewn. She learned this from her grandmother, who taught her to make quilts. This skill eventually evolved into clothing design and fabric sculpture. Now, everything old is new again, and we're incorporating quilt designs into polymer clay. This is as much textural as it is is about the patterns and color. These bracelets mimic piecework padded fabric. We're pretty sure grandma would like these.
Inspired by eilonwy77's cheese-wedge patterns, particularly this one. Drawn in InkScape.
I haven't the patience or parts to put this together myself, so I sketched it :)

Taken during a walk in the woods around San Zeno di Montagna, where my family lives. The bright green leaves in the center captured my attention...
(© 2009 PrÃamo Melo) Patterns abound in nature and it's just up to us, photographers, to capture them. Keep your eyes open for interesting lines, spirals, arrows, repeated designs and motif-like forms. A macro lens is handy at these situations. Happy Wednesday to all of you!
