Inside an electric tower - looking up. I want to improve this shot, but it still was an "Ahhh - Got it" shot that I've been thinking about for awhile.
This is for the man-made repetitions and patterns series. Thanks, Jeff for great advice on the post processing. I hope I did it justice.
I really enjoy the light here as well as the patterns. Taken at Cal Poly Leaning Pine Arboretum, San Luis Obispo, California.
I found a string which is a popular quilt pattern on one of the Blog.spot members by the name of Jane and she drew the Paradox Tangle pattern in different approaches and you can get an endless number of pattern from the same string. I drew seven different designs using the paradox on this same string.

The mechanical reliability of MTA New York City Transit’s fleet of 6,200 subway cars has been a major source of pride for employees. That achievement stems from a simple idea; fix things before they break. That is the philosophy behind the Scheduled Maintenance System (SMS) program developed by the Division of Car Equipment as a way of maintaining the reliability of new subway cars and older subway cars that had gone through the General Overhaul (GOH) program.

Not a fan of snakes but I particularly like the vivid green and white patterns. I guess it may have something to do with green being one of my favorite colors. A shot I have done in the past but definitely worth of a new one every now and then.
The right side is the model posed with the sewed together outfit. The right side of the screen shows the cut out pattern of the outfit. I created this outfit in Marvelous Designer while following a tutorial by Natalija Jagarinec.

On Mangsit Bluff I wandered high above that Realm of Poseidon, the deep Lombok Strait. Around me scores of Common Blues danced in the Sun, the Rays of Apollo.
No violets here though lots of other small flowers. But the Cerulean Blue of our Jamides glowed violet in the Bright Light.
In Classical Antiquity, the Jamides - gifted with prophecy and seeers too - claimed descent from the Boy of the Violets, Iamos.
His mother Euadne, daughter of Poseidon, had been seduced by Apollo. Shame led her to abandon her son in a patch of wild violets where he was nurtured by bees. Retrieved later by Apollo, Iamos was taught the art of divination. But he will always remain for me 'The Violet Boy'. From whence derives our Little Blue's scientific name. Here on Mangsit Bluff he and his tribe were dancing as it were with lots of Asian Honeybees.

While I was searching the Hoop Love pool for a pattern, I came across this sea scene submitted by user bcampell_to: www.flickr.com/photos/briancampbell/5118571319/. When I showed it to my boyfriend, he thought it'd be funny to have the seagulls attack a picnic rather than a wave. Cue a few minutes search, when I found this pattern submitted by user rectangle: www.flickr.com/photos/rectangel/2314303997/
The major modifications include removing the car and bread from the picnic and the sea from the sea gulls. The picnic blanket is in back stitch, whereas the original called for running stitch. I added in some more grass to help cover the spot the car occupied and took out a few flowers and grass where they conflicted with the seagulls. I also only used three of the original five seagulls.
This is the first vintage pattern I've sewn, and it was quite fun! There is a lot of detached chain stitches in this piece, as well as a nod to me and my boyfriend (it's incredibly subtle.)

dear autotags, it might be monochrome but it's not black & white as in black and white film. But very interested in the addition of "text"
