NATURAL TEXTURE is the topic for Thursday 11 October 2012.
Lots of subjects to choose from today, but this was my final choice. The dahlias are loving the cooler weather and are lasting a lot longer into the season than normal.
The morning sun was just behind this one so it was the chosen one.

Pattern study for Salina Art Center. The final piece will be a large-scale painting in the Oakdale Park pool to coincide with the Smoky Hill River Festival in June 2012.

This type of marble - the "Zebra" marbling pattern is definitely my favorite! the white spots are added last after the combing is done.

Another game and I think with an improvement in giving instructions on how to play the game (compared to the previous attempt flic.kr/p/yGnqP7, where many did not know how to play the game from the instructions.)
