Contempo is a textured lace glove pattern, adorned with decorative buttons, and exudes a sophisticated air of urbane elegance. Both delicate-looking and super swanky, these gloves have the functionality of biking mitts with an uptown, stylish outlook. Shield your hands from the elements with these delectable gloves... The versatile rib and lace combination in the gloves means that they can go effortlessly from casual, to business, to evening! Experiment with different colours to suit your mood and wardrobe; the gloves are a relatively fast knit which means you can have a pair of these ‘classy cool’ pieces in no time!
Each glove is knitted in 2 pieces. The cuff is knitted on straight needles, and then the edges are picked up to attach the hand portion of the glove in the round using double pointed needles. Pattern includes step by step instructions and full colour photographs.

This was taken at Pike Place Market with the manual mode. I used the short focal length and the large aperture to blur the background. The small metal locks and the wires form a pattern. However, the subject of this focal "breaks" the pattern. It's a lock of a different kind, and there is no other lock near it. I edited it with Lightroom. I made the entire picture black & white, except the subject.
The February pattern. I'm doing a sampler every month to practice my embroidery stitches and sharing on my blog. (free pattern download is there)

The strips on the right (for the back) are ~38mm wide, not sure of the left (front) strips since I just cut it out on tape stuck to a healing pad.
This still needs more revisions: (1) improve the back-to-front transitions and tape layout, (2) hone the wedges for the round corners, (3) extend the top and bottom of the front to meet the button/SIM cover/headphone jack and dock, (4) mini wedges are too wide, maybe just need to shorten (or round?) the flaps and omit mini wedges.
