The pattern in the bricks is shown in this photo. The lines in the concrete separates the different shades to make a pattern.

Colorful candy and icing pattern decoration

Finally a "fresh" photo. I took this one last week during a day trip to Boston. I went there for my cousin's graduation and we had some good time there!

I was probably inspired to take this shot from some shots I saw around the hotel. We always find patterns around us, and I really liked this building. I saw the street light and wanted to include this in the composition as well. I'm experimenting with the tilted horizon shots, so that's the result of all these inputs :)

Just using patterned paper and some flower diecuts.

Pattern now available! Visit my profile page for the link to Madisonscraftnook.

One of the concrete columns decorated with a pattern based on a design by L. F. Day, who was a visiting lecturer at the School of Art in the 1890s.

Taken during a site visit on 25th November 2011.

Hi-If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it!

I'm looking for a free online pattern for Blythe sized shorts. I have very limited/beginner sewing skills :P

The photos are for examples. The ones on the left are Barbie that I got at a yard sale & the ones on the right are STA stock shorts. I love both pair, but the ones on the left are more likely doable for my skill set.

Thanks!

While shopping at Lowe's a couple of weeks ago, I noticed this stack of pre-cut boards and was struck by the patterns in the wood.

This is an exmple of pattern/Texture because of the way the holes on the fence make a pattern

Close up showing fingertip whorl patterns on a body having spent three days submerged in tepid river water.

Today's series is all about patterns we find them everywhere and I find them very interesting, pleasing, calming and stimulating. They are a very visual and important part of our lives and can be found in nature as well as things made by mankind. We are surrounded by them and often are unaware of them as such.

Can you say "Hef-in-training"?

Lisa was so sweet to send me a big stack of these vintage pattern envelopes! Thought I'd share a few of my favorites!

Thanks Lisa!

pattern by Jenny Gordy of Wiksten-Made. found in Stitch magazine (holiday issue 2008) love it!

also, i was inspired by Jenny who was inspired by another seamstress (who was probably inspired by someone else) to make this in a printed fabric. i was so eager to get this made that i finished it up in one evening.

p.s. i also copied Jenny by wearing a v-neck knit top. but i also see it paired with some other tops i have (including another printed blouse i made...) oh so many possibilities. now i want to make another.

. . . When you live on the forest floor, with large trees all around you, there isn't a whole lot of sunlight! Ferns compensate for this low light by using an alternate branching pattern, so they get the most of the rare solar photons!

Have a great week Facebook and Flickr friends!
