He flicks the half spent cigarette toward the other side of the tunnel, backstepping into the opposite corner. "Planned?....Any of Rena's girls get caught up in this?"
Guin nods, a little stiffly still. "Planned," she confirms, keeping her voice low. "That much I know for certain. The question is just by whom." She exhales as they reach the quiet shadow of the building, only a pretense of privacy, but better than the open street. "Almost all of us did," she says grimly.
Asher's jaw-grinding came to a sudden snap, clenching down in a finally bite as she dropped the fact they were all inside. His eyes narrow and almost close with the frustration of the thought, but he inhales a deep breath, fabricated of course, but does so in an attempt to stop himself getting too emotionally concerned over the bombing, even though it involved people he knew and might go further than a simple wake-up call with a bomb, from whoever was trying to make a point. His age-old habit of concerning himself too far, was something still to be worked on...

which one of these is not like the other?
well....unfortunately, this patched step was not patched when i was a freshman in college,
and even more unfortunately, it lead to my first broken bone.
september 13, 2001. 3 weeks into school i broke my ankle in this exact spot. i wasn't seeking it out in my visit to lawrence, but it happens to be the front steps to the school of architecture, which i did visit.
it was very traumatic at the time.
I must say though, i think having to learn how to navigate with crutches made me a better architect....when it comes to ADA.

The palace and park at Peterhof (also known as Petrodvorets) are often referred to as "the Russian Versailles".
Versailles was, however, the inspiration for Peter the Great's desire to build an imperial palace in the suburbs of his new city and, after an aborted attempt at Strelna, Peterhof - which means "Peter's Court" in German - became the site for the Tsar's Monplaisir Palace, and then of the original Grand Palace. The estate was equally popular with Peter's daughter, Empress Elizabeth, who ordered the expansion of the Grand Palace and greatly extended the park and the famous system of fountains.
