This H3 GEVO must have had a catastrophic engine failure as the hood doors are a mix of H2, H3 and primer painted ones. These are the moderately-graded BNSF tracks, with the UP line visible up the hill between the locos and the trucks on the two levels of the I-15 freeway (itself an impressive piece of work).
I didn't realize I collected appliques & patches, but I guess I do! I'm cleaning out my craftspace and was shocked to find how many of such things I have....
Seems to be a standard fixture now on 90% of colas 37's absolutely covered in ground in years old work stained crud along with patch paint chipped paint and dints and bangs think i'm taking after these ageing and ailing loco's nowadays.

It's been a good long while since I've had the opportunity to get out with my camera, and just as long since I've had a chance to post anything on FLICKR. Today, my wife and I made it out to Max Patch Bald, near the North Carolina-Tennessee border. I had a nice time shooting the hay bales dotted along the mountain top .

Some patches that I’ve kept since I was a youngling. The Aussat one was my fave as we got a tour of the Aussat facility in Lockridge before it was Optus. (88/89) We got a little bag of goodies but this is all I have left. The others are souvenirs of crossing Oz. Tip Top one is from a bread promo. All circa 88/90.

Come to the Pumpkin Patch at Seminole Heights United Methodist Church down on the corner of Central & Hanna in Seminole Heights. The Patch will be open 12-8 p.m. Sunday through Friday, and 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Saturdays until Halloween.

I encountered this fellow on one of my walks around the neighborhood the other night. I love to carry my camera and 100mm f2.8 Macro lens. He belongs to my 25th stranger, Cody, in my 100 Strangers project.
Best time of the year to visit Green Patch right now; gets way too crowded for my liking over the summer holidays. Temperatures are perfect too. The only question is do you float on your back, snorkel or stand-up paddle?

On day four of my train journey across Canada by VIA rail. October 2018. We are seeing lots of snow now.
The window are not very clean so the photos are not that good. Also the train was speeding along at times and really bumpy. I have put all the photos I took on my journey on Flickr as a record of my trip.

Splash Mountain - Magic Kingdom

I went to just take a picture of the sign; then I noticed that you could see the top of Splash Mountain. Just when I thought I've seen every perspective of Splash Mountain, this comes along. I tell ya, it's hard to thing of shot ideas when you go to Disney a lot. So it's nice to get surprises like this.

Some of my unit patches from when I was in the Air Force. The top right is for the 63rd Military Airlift Wing based at Norton AFB, California. The bottom right was my AFSC patch (Aircrew Life Support). The middle patch was from when I was with the 9th RW Physiological Support Division at Beale AFB, California. The top left is my command patch from Norton AFB (Military Airlift Command). The bottom left is my rank when I got out, which was Senior Airman/E-4.
