Road trip from Tijuana to Santa Rosalia and back. Baja California, Mexico

Western Patch-nosed Snake (Salvadora hexalepis)- found crossing the road. It got off the road before I could back up and get a full body shot with my 100 mm macro lens. At the time, I didn't realize that they were fast snakes that move like the black racers here in GA. Pima Co., AZ

This wonderful creature - turns out after consulting the reference books to be a Western Patch-nosed Snake met whilst hiking the mountains

We "shooed" this guy off the road so it wouldn't get hit. it's a Western Patched-nosed snake.
