Thank you, my dear friend!!
Hey everyone, it's been a while!
In this photo, I'm wearing the very well made The Chef's Kiss Outfit made by Atelier Ymir!
This is a platter of Italian Pastries from a great little shoppe in my neighborhood. They are amazing.
If it's too busy at Mikes, you can wander across the street and get a great pastry at Modern Pastry. When we visited Boston years back, the owners of Mike's had gone on vacation and the shop was closed. We enjoyed a cannoli from Modern. Not having had a chance to sample Mike's we have no way of knowing if we got the best cannoli in Boston or not.
Member's Choice - Found In The Kitchen
I found this pastry wheel in the very deep of my drawer. Didn't know that I owned it. I think it's time to take notice of it and do some baking where it will be used :-) HMM
Beside the scene:
Boston, MA
Opened in 1930, and still family owned and operated (the original family, I mean), serving generations of Bostonians. We didn't have time to stop and eat at this Italian cafe but I sure wish we had been able to -- it looked like my kind of place. Traditional Italian pastries? Yes please.
Week No: 2/52
Theme: New Year’s Resolution
Category: Creative.
I wasn't thinking of any resolutions as I usually don't do them.
So let's make it more of a wish.
During the last couple of years I've done few jobs for my former employer, that is a Restaurant, bar, pub and B&B.
They always call me each time they need a new photoshoot of the premises for their website, or for new courses they add to their menu, or commercials they display on their screens all around the place.
I love doing it, it gives me the chance to vary from interior to food photography.
So let's hope this 2017 will bring me more jobs like those mentioned and a career as a commercial photographer ;)
Pastry Brush for “Brush” Macro Monday
Pastry brush cleaned after being used to brush the singing lily with milk before baking; this tray bake cake has different names in different parts of the country and was usually made to use up left over pastry. This one has mixed dried fruit and glace cherries - my favourite - you can add cooked baking apples - Pauline’s favourite – or sweet mincemeat at Christmas, all of these are Jim’s favourite, serve hot with custard or cold spread with butter and a cup of tea!
