You can obtain spawn free of contaminants from a reputable commercial vendor. In other words, you begin with the highest likelihood of success. It is uncommon to find mushroom growing supplies that sell mushroom spawn in your city. Therefore, you will likely need to make a purchase online and have it shipped to you. Typically, sawdust or grain is utilised to produce mushroom spawn. Your substrate will provide all the nutrients necessary for the mycelium to develop and produce mushrooms. As mushroom substrates, sawdust, cardboard, coffee grounds, coco coir mushroom substrate, and other materials may be used. Prior to use, the majority of substrates must be sterilised or pasteurised to eliminate competing organisms. Growing on straw or wood pellets is recommended. They have previously been pasteurised under high heat and pressure.
