In the days when I used to use it, as well as the blinds displaying the non-stop section, a laminated notice was put up in the driver's door. And some drivers would announce it at every stop. Even then, about halfway down Brixton Road you'd hear the bell ring..
Last winter I went a bit nuts with making paste papers. I experimented with a bunch of different kinds of starches for the paste (e.g. rice, wheat, potato) and used mostly Golden acrylic paints for color. The fun part was improvising different tools for making marks. I decorated a variety of different papers, including Strathmore 500 series charcoal paper, Arches Text, and Canson Ingres. Now I have a big stack of papers that I'll need to use for projects --- or find a better storage system!
