password errata

it's time. where is he?

don't worry. he'll be here.

how will we recognize him?

he'll be feeding the pigeons.

hell, everybody's feeding the damn pigeons.

and wearing a clown nose.

oh, that's subtle. was that your idea?

it's much easier than trying to remember a stupid password.

so when can I take off this ridiculous batman costume?

whaddya mean? it looks great on you.

man, espionage just isn't what it used to be.

yeah, but you'll get over it. now pass me one of those donuts.

ok, but not the chocolate. those are mine.

if you say so.

Mildred received a notification that her needed to update her account password. After staring at the empty password field for a few minutes, she had it!

She typed his new password: potato.

The computer responded with an error message: ‘Sorry, your password must contain at least 8 letters.’

She typed again: boiled potato.

Again, she was met with an error. ‘Sorry, your password must contain at least 1 number.’

Mildred thought she was being clever and typed ‘1 boiled potato’ into the password field.

‘Sorry, password cannot contain spaces.’

Frustrated, Mildred typed ’50fingboiledpotatoes’.

Another error message. ‘Sorry, your password must contain capital letters.’

She tried again. ’50FINGboiledpotatoes.’

It was no good either. ‘Sorry, your password must not contain capital letters that are consecutive.’

Mildred thought someone must be pulling her leg. She was getting furious.

‘IwillThrow50fingBoiledPotatoesRightatYourScreen,IfYouDontGiveMeAccess she typed, thinking she’d outwitted the password requirements.

Another error message appeared. ‘Sorry, your password must not contain any punctuation.’

Mildred, was about to lose her mind. She typed frantically, slamming her fingers into the keyboard with each keystroke.

‘NowIamSeriouslyGettingAnnoyedIwillThrow50fingBoiledPotatoesRightatYourScreenIfYouDontGiveMeAccess.’

The computer started to process the request. Mildred started to relax her shoulders.

‘Sorry, you cannot change your password to a password you have already used with this account. Choose a new password: …’

A Walk in Bricksburg - Series IV

In my day job as an IT Consultant this has to be the best and most inventive 'protect your password' poster I've seen..!

This made Explore #318 on 19 May 08.

Voila. Wi-fi convenience for visiting guests. And non-nerds will just think it's cool contemporary art, OK, maybe not.

16x20. One page folded down zine. One color screenprint on newsprint. Printing tomorrow.

JD: "....You alright, Liz?"

"Of course. I'm fine."

JD: "Don't sound like it."

"I feel fine, Cousin. We have much more urgent things to worry about."

JD: "....Liz, you just fucking blew a guy's brains out. I made a promise you wouldn't have to fight and--"

"It was the heat of the moment, cousin. I had to act, not think. I had to save that soldier. It was either him or that animal."

JD: "You shouldn't have been the one to pull the trigger, though..."

"It's survival, cousin. Not just for me but the people I'm trying to help. Sometimes that comes at a cost. You of all people should understand that."

JD: "I do, I just..."

"Cousin, I'll be seeing that man's eyes at he falls over dead for some time. But this isn't the first horror I've had a hand in. I'll heal."

JD: "Just remember I'm with you."

"Don't expect me to do it again, though."

JD: "Yeah. It won't happen...."

GM: "....'bout time we found you, mate. I think we ought t' go inside where it's warm. I'm freezin' down to me knickers here."

JD: "Well, this building looks important. Door's got a keypad for it."

"How will we get in, though? That rude man with the revolting hair is the only one who could help us!"

K: "FEH! We don' need no bloomin' cyclops wit' his fancy teatrays! I know the password!"

JD: "Bullshit."

K: "Take a look! C-L-A-Y-M-O-R-E!"

"So that's what those are....wait, you wear bombs next to your head?"

K: "Aye!"

"I don't even need my doctorates to tell you how unhealthy that is..."

K: "Ah, but it's fun! Pretty loud, to. Ye should step off a tad....."

"You think we're getting close to the end, Cousin? I've had more than enough of this."

JD: "We're getting somewhere. I promise."

"What about ton amour, Ms Tate? I haven't seen her since the gates opened. I'm worried..."

JD: "I think she'll be fine. Wherever the fuck she is around here...."

From Left to Right

A5 Graphic Zip, Red - storage filo

A5 Finsbury Zip, pink - family filo

A5 Domino Snake, Bronze - Quilt-o-fax

Personal Domino Snake, Bronze - Travel-o-fax

Personal Fresco - 'computer companion', sits by the computer with all my logons and passwords. Will become a storage binder for past years. It is very battered and was like this when I bought it for £3.00. I wanted the WO2P diary and inserts it came with because I filed the second half of the year somewhere very safe. So safe I still have not found them.

Personal Panama, Pearl - Master Copy of all my information and holds family history info etc. It is such a beautiful filofax, the pearl effect is stunning.

Personal Baroque, Turquoise - my everyday diary, I note in bullet points my days events because

I can never remember what I did.

Slimline Adelphi, Damson - this is the satellite of the bronze travel-o-fax. I hate carrying around

a heavy hand bag so I use slimlines. This is also for our weekend visits to Castles and Country Manor houses. There are a lot of castles and ancient ruins to see in the U.K.

Slimline Adelphi, Magenta - My 'everyday' in my handbag filofax.

Slimline Adelphi, Scarlet - will replace the Fresco as my computer companion filo. I was toying with the idea of it being my London filo, the colour seems to suggest it.

Slimline Amazona, Almond - I swap this around with the Magenta for variety.

Pocket Mode, Pink - My daughter's filofax. She added it for colour.

Pocket Limited Edition Gharani Strok - was my everyday filo for a couple of years but is now retired and holds old but possibly still relevant information like a time capsule.

Pocket Cross (classic), Camel - My everyday filo for about 6 years. It NEVER laid flat!!! Now retired. Probably my least favourite filo.

Pocket Amazona, Almond - an 'accidental win' off Ebay. No use yet, debating if I should sell it.

Mini Finsbury, Raspberry - no use, it is very small.

untouched

August 15th, 2009

I'm sorry I have been missing so much lately. I have pictures from the days I've been gone, they're just on my Mom's laptop. She changed the password, so I can't get on it unless she logs me in. Which will be rare. I'm sorry guys.

I had my first photo shoot today. I'm definitely better with natural people than trying to pose people. It's hard for me. I just hope the family likes their pictures.

My life has been crazy. Nathan and I are no longer a "thing". I still love him so very much, I just have some things to sort through and focus on right now. Being a teenage girl should be in the dictionary under tough.

I've cried more times in this week than I have in a long time. Tomorrow is Sunday, and it makes a new week. I will be spending more time on my 365s, because I have been lacking, and I feel bad. I mean, I'm almost done and I've practically given up with the shots lately. I will be spending more time focusing on myself, who I am, and who I want to be. I will be spending more time getting homework done. Because I need to do so.

Let us hope I don't rip out my hair with all that's happening.

To have you touch my body, to feel you caressing my hips. The look in our eyes , I let out a sigh, then we kiss on the lips.💜

Sugar, spice and all things nice. 💋

Please leave a few kind words for me, I'm feeling delicate about posting things at the moment. 💔

Ps other than the light I have not tinkered with this picture. Rather pleased I must say.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to find Simon Liu at BrickCon 2014 and pass onto him a secret password. As always, should you or any of your AFOL building team are caught or killed customBRICKS will disavow any knowledge of your actions. Good luck, citizen.

I am not able to attend BrickCon and Simon was kind enough to help me out by carrying around and giving anyone who can tell him the correct password a free custom printed AFOL soda can.

"This is a parallel world. This is exactly what we expect it to be.

This is the Internet. The web. This is the same world we live in, but we can't see it. Only a few people can, and only if they are out of their mind. That's what it takes to be able to live it. Codes, viruses and sensations. Display, letters and fake fame. Like in our world. So, if you would have the chance now to be able to see it, would it be y or n? Plug it or unplug it? Error. Probably."
