... I also cannot decipher the clever encryption I had written down! Fujifilm X100F plus a cable shutter release.
Another possibility for the Macro Mondays theme of desk. The Apple logo on my laptop is about 3 cm across and makes a cool little mirror to reflect things!
*** As of right now I’m leaning toward this one.***
Interestingly, the one i was going to stage and take a picture of is a mini stapler and some blue staples. Never got around to it bc I was having such a good time finding things on my table/desk that could be reflected ... Grin...
*****(Update)… when I went to create a context picture, I discovered that in actuality it’s the password book, not index cards!! Changed tge title****

Did you know the word hippocampus, from the Greek, translates to ‘horse’ and ‘sea monster’, but in myth this half-horse, half-fish was considered a benevolent creature that helped sailors in distress?

I couldn't log on to flickr yesterday. Got a new laptop and flickr wouldn't recognize the new computer or my password. After hours and hours of repeated attempts...i FINALLY got signed in this morning. Consequently, I am REALLY behind on commenting. Sorry. Have a purrr~fect weekend everyone!
So... these past days I was taking part on a workshop. I was invited to go as an assistant to the lecturing photographers, but I was then told that I'd participate on the challenges as well.
Which I wasn't prepared for.
The challenges consisted in telling a story with 36 clicks only. I started many and gave up on all of them, specially because it's impossible to tell a tale of self-portraits with 36 clicks only. I usually take 15 to get one good shot that I like.
Anyway, I ended up with a very mediocre story to show, which I'll share later, but going through the photos I took, I think that if I had more time and was allowed more clicks maybe I'd have something more interesting to show... hahaha
One of the things I learned from the other people participating on the workshop was to accept some kinds of light x shadow situations and angles that I wouldn't even think of using, but that actually work on a photo and look good and create an interesting atmosphere.
I took this photo on a friday morning and sunday morning we all presented a slideshow with our stories. And one of the slideshows was telling a very dramatic story, with a very dramatic kind of light.
This is the link to the video, if you wish to see: THE FARM INCIDENT (password = pwya)
If I hadn't seen Caio's slideshow I would have discarted this photo as a photo in which I had gotten the light wrong. Even if there is this vulnerability in the image which I like and which I so rarely see in myself. But in which I was most of the time during the workshop. I even had nightmares for two nights all going about my mediocrity. Heh...
In this photo, it seems like a moment in time was frozen as I was walking in to a scene. Me gusta.
One fateful day, she had a bit too much beer.
She squinted and yelled “Your Wi-Fi passwords! They’ve been swapped with the aliens’ secret codes!”. People started looking around to see what she was pointing at “See that constellation?!" she yelled " It’s actually a giant emoji—two aliens high five-ing! ”
One looked up and scratched his head “But what about our Wi-Fi?”. She turned around looking into his blue green eyes “Ah, fear not! To fix it, you must dance the Macarena while chanting ‘Password, password, little star, beam me up to the cookie jar!’”
You might remember what Jimmy, our hospital cat, looked like when he was left at our clinic's front door last July. It only took 8 months, unlimited access to food and steroids twice a day to get him passed the 6.5 pound milestone. When he arrived he weighed 5.98 pounds and as of yesterday he weights 6.67 pounds. He will probably never look as good as he does at this moment.
Like cats all over the world, Jimmy loves sitting on computer keyboards. I often go to login to my computer and find that my password has already been entered and has approximately 2,000 letters.
