I thought this morning was going to be a washout as the skies were not looking good - but I stuck it out and was rewarded
The route up Long Tom Pass starts at 1456m and climbs 682 vertical metres to an altitude of 2138m at its end. The summit of the pass lies at an altitude of ±2150m.

Flüela Pass (elevation 7,818 ft) is a high mountain pass in the Swiss Alps in the canton of Graubünden. The road connects Davos and Susch in the lower Engadin valley.

This is the exit point of the Wire Pass trail (which passes through a narrow slot canyon) at the conjunction where it enters Buckskin Gulch in Utah's Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. I love walking in slot canyons. Note the hiker near the far wall for scale.
Looking down on Hatchers pass as the glow of the Northern lights dances over head. The lights to the right of the image are Independence mine historical park. Refer back to my previous post from last week for a close up of that area
