It was so wonderful having my parents visit in such a troubling time, its been so long since I have seen them.
a Parent Bug nymph of approximately 2-3 weeks old on the birch tree in the garden. It would seem likely that the poor adult female with the tachinid egg managed to survive long enough to lay eggs. A successful outcome.

We finally managed to try and get some photos of my parents for their 50th anniversary in September. I'm kinda rusty on getting good ones, but...it is what it is.

Day 141: “Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!!!”
Yes, today my parents celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary. Last year, we celebrated their anniversary with my graduation. I can’t believe that it’s been one year since I graduated high school. Nonetheless, this is the card I made for my parents. It was kinda a last minute card. It’s not that I didn’t forget it was their anniversary, I’ve just been preoccupied with other things. Anyways, next year’s card will be just as better!
