Prior to the start of each Fall semester, Langara hosts a Parent Orientation night. The session, which includes a speaker panel, presentations, Q&A, campus tours, refreshments and prizes, is intended to provide discussion on how parents can support students, and info on the College resources available to students.
One of the props for the "parenting reno" segment for The Parenting Squad segment on CHEX-TV. We shot this in the kitchen of my office. (There is no kitchen as of yet.)
This is an older nestling. Parent and child seemed to be posing. This baby is getting its feathers in now. The fuzzies on the top of the head will identify it as a young egret for some time to come. Notice how the parent has no breeding colors now. You don't need to dress up for the kids.

My parents and my younger sister in different moods after we went to watch a movie ... Mom is like I dont like eating outside and I need to go home and cook food ... Dad is like why am I made to pose and son how did you break your hand ... and Sis is like cant we stay here for longer?? And bro buy me some more gifts :D
On November 4,1975 the first Parents’ Day was put on by the EMU Parents’ Association. The day includes numerous activities that allow parents and students to see the different kinds of things that go on around campus. The EMU Marching Band performed for visiting parents, there was an Art and Treasure Sale, and many departmental displays and lectures.
