This guy has a lot of parallels to A&M's Sul Ross. He was the governor of the state and saved the university. When the original academic building burned down, there was a debate on whether to move the university to Sedalia, MO. But Francis saved it and they built this memorial to him. His nose is so highly polished because students rub it for good luck on their next exam.

Attending nursing school in the middle of downtown Portland has certainly enhanced my parallel parking skills, but this one has got to deserve some sort of award. I couldn't believe it myself, when I got out of my car, so I had to take a photo for posterity. (And then I silently implored the parking fairy to have one of the other cars leave before I needed to, because I honestly couldn't see how I'd be able to ever get back OUT of the spot I'd just gotten into!)

The red Parallels shirts stood out very well at the Parallels Summit 2008

A set of black and white photos taken around the Trafford Centre with my cameraphone. Even when the place is busy you don't have to try hard to make it look a bit empty and soulless.

I particularly like this set as a slideshow.
