My daughter Jacqui, originally saw this shot and took a picture with her camera. I liked the parallel lines so much that I copied/stole her idea.
The sea and tracks are in Manarola, Italy, which is where I spent two weeks in April. Manarola was probably my favorite place in Italy as it was a small hillside village on the western coast of Italy.

I am studying digital art and photography at Bodmin College. My beautiful friend Rose gave up her sunday evening to stand in a freezing cold, fast flowing river, be covered in three bags of flour and painted completely white for my 'Parallel Worlds' project at Respryn Woods, Conwall. She did a fabulous job and i will upload my final digital art piece as soon as it's finished. The idea of my final piece is to question the viewer as to what happens to our body if we were to cross into the parallel world or even bigger; what it would look like. Temperature? Creatures? Plants?

In euclidean geometry, we define parallels as lines which never meet and the distance between them is always the same. But perspective gives us the vanishing point where they appear to converge.

In this universe, you can see the trees exhaling oxygen and there's always great lighting for photography. I'll have to vacation there sometime.

I finally got a tripod :) A Velbon El Carmagne Carbon Fiber. It's my first "good" tripod haha.
I got bored and just took shots of myself today, I've been itching to get a job and start shooting more socially and getting some money while I'm at it. The pressure is on! If I can't pay rent I'll have to move out somewhere or Melbourne with my dad. Suckz0rz.

Just a few miles from Bora Bora among the Leeward Islands of French Polynesia lie Taha’a and Ra’iātea. The lush, inhabited tropical islands in the middle are remnants of eroded volcanos, while the keyhole-shaped network of turquois fringe encircling them are separate kingdoms altogether –living, evolving coral reef.
Communities of coral animals thrive in the warm, shallow waters around tropical volcanic islands. Even as the elements erode away the exposed volcanic land mass above the water, countless generations of coral go about their business building vast underwater cities of astounding biodiversity beneath the surface. Islands in tropical waters may erode away entirely, leaving behind only the surrounding reef – an atoll – to mark its former location.
Taha’a and Ra’iātea probably comprised a single, larger island before millennia of erosion split them apart.

The gap is getting smaller. Now we are adding strips from the keel down, or up depending on how you look at it. These strips are all parallel to each other and get trimmed to fit one at a time.

This photo cheers and depresses me.
I am cheered to see anybody wearing a Linus pin.
It depresses me to suddenly realize that although I interpreted "Made In The 80's" to mean "My formative childhood years were between 1980 and 1988," to the 25-year-old wearer the phrase meant "I was born during the Reagan administration."
