The fence line running parallel with the 3 trees caught my attention along with the super sunset.

We are actually living in a million parallel realities every single minute.

Parallel Lives

After giving it some thought

and doing a recount of events,

I've come to the conclusion,

that we are not supposed to have been.

For how do you explain the fact,

yes! That we love one another,

we think so much alike,

You can surely say we love each other.

Our lives are so parallel,

for we were born the same month,

Love poetic words, and of course plants

our birthdays only four days apart.

Both of us strong in our way of being,

tender hearted, tough and caring.

In the same nonsense of life's course,

our family's ideals are, Always stay together.

Like the green-blue sea, meets the heavens,

Our lives seem to be,

Or like the ochre of the afternoon

melts into the grayish of the night,

In the far away horizon we see.

Like the never ending lines

of a railroad track,

Always bound by our feelings,

We will be parallel lines.

I have some catching up to do....

I've finally been working on some photobooks of our around the world trip 4 years ago, so many photo's.......it takes time....

I took this shot yesterday evening just before sunset, the sky was good and while driving around on a dike I suddenly saw the irresistible Dutch sight.

(No HDR this time..)

For anyone familiar with Theodore Wirth Park, two railroad quietly coexist with the park's expanse on the western edge of Minneapolis and eastern extent of Golden Valley. Every once and a while a short local on the Union Pacific works the western suburbs while the Monticello Local travels through heading to Osseo and Albertville.

I scoped out this spot years ago and put it in my "Some Day..." list of hopeful photo locations. When I saw the Monti had a route from Northtown Yard to Lyndale Junction, I had to go for it. BNSF 2648 has a full cab with crew members paired with 558 as it passes under Theodore Wirth Parkway. A rock with a 45th Parallel marker sits just to the east along the parkway. For the coordinate nerds, the marker is a hair off, but extremely close in any case.

A plethora of parallel lines stretch to a common vanishing point, clearly visible to each other but never intersecting. Pure parallelism on display. A nice metaphor for our current human condition.
