Riveting huh? another detail of the iron bridge stretching over the Avon on St Philip's Marsh. Along with rust I think rivets are possibly one of my favorite things to photograph

Panoramic view of the New River and the Chesapeake & Ohio railroad tracks winding though the New River Gorge National Park in West Virginia
Hard to believe this was over 10 years ago, First Leeds 37675 puts down the power out of Otley while a connexions Scania in a similar livery takes rest.
313042 130504 Alexander Palace 090811
With the PEP era now at an end it's time to look back at their time on British Railways.
The wide open space between Alexander Palace and Hornsey is shown to good effect with the view straight down the main line whilst, 313042 is almost incidental as it makes it's way towards the capital. 4th May 2013
I've found this Carpocoris bug in a morning relatively poor regarding macro subjects. So I decided to take a closer look but, when approaching, it took this alert-like attitude with almost parallel antennae.

A building in central Santiago, Chile.
I took this in 2013 on my way back from Easter Island, but I had previously visited the city in 2000.
You can see more pics in my Chile set.

"Parallel Lives:" Some years ago, I wrote a poem that in my mind, a picture like this would eventually accompany, entitled the same. Here is an excerpt:
"Living our lives in parallel,
Yet in separate worlds we obliviously dwell.
Like tracks of a railroad bound together by ties,
But never intersecting; no chance for compromise.
Our coexistence is limited by circumspect.
Looking forward, looking back, only a forced disconnect.
On common ground, but so far out of reach;
The rules of separation we can never breach.
Always just exactly a set distance apart,
Whether middle, end, or at the very start.
Stuck in a limbo of the distance between;
Look, but don't touch; some things are only to be seen." (words and photo are copyright by TreeRose Photography, Theresa Rose Ditson).
Masked man sits in a scootmobile on the Haarlemmerplein, Amsterdam. As another man walks along without a mask just enjoying a summerday.
Beacuse much of the lockdown rules in Holland have been advisory you have this weird parallel reality of sunrevelers on the one hand and masked people who look like they are prpering for some serious catastrophy on the other. Mostly young people are a bit more lax and older people tend to take more care. Tough not always, eitherway it makes for a pretty surreal view to see these to version of corona reality exist side by side.
