This origami pink tabby kitten is a variation on an origami tiger published by LPFPuzzle. Youtube folding instructions for the tiger can be found by searching LPFPuzzle tiger. The variation to make this kitten is to fold the tail outward and for the ears, to snip a small diagonal cut in the back of the head by each ear so that they can be folded upward.
The Pink Tabby Kitten paper was drawn by Jacque Lynn Davis and is free to download and fold.

Variation on the Doe Head with antlers.
The antlers hold thanks to wet-folding. The paper is very thin, and once dried, holds very solidly.

Folded in a rectangle (1x4 ratio) of sandwich paper from Origami Shop.
This model is the result of a doodling with some paper leftover. It is relatively simple to fold and I like it very much.
We had discussions today about Flickr and if we need it still and why and what to do... straightforward suggestion was let's go back and use Flickr... There certainly is a point in it! Especially after I paid for 1 more year as pro... I am not sure how long can I keep with it, but I try for a while... Thus I digged up all photos on my phone since December and will try to post here and there something from last months...
Rewind back to February... ;) home after cfc2 (convention for creators 2)... It was wonderful and inspiring, just not enough time to talk with everybody... This flower is a side result of whole day playing with a new fractal model by Ben Goldberger. Not directly connected but certainly inspired!

So I guess I decided to be alive again after such a long time. I wasn't really folding in the past 6 months. I've been busy with school but the end of the semester is approaching so I think I'll start again. Anyway, I have plenty of unpublished models so I hope I'll at least get to post them here...
The yellow-green (left) and the reddish one are 'Origami Spiral 2' by Tomoko Fuse, when you follow the diagrams. The green one above is a small variation.

I'm teaching a course in Berlin this July, drawing on the paper folding exercises taught at the Bauhaus by Josef Albers as part of his preliminary course. To that end, I've been reverse-engineering all of the examples I've been able to find from historical documentation.

One of my favourite rhino designs, has nice proportions and volume.
The satogami paper gives a nice texture to the model.
Rhinos are cool creatures, kinda chill, lazy and fat.
The end result turned out pretty small and cute, would recommend a ~50-55 cm sheet
There was a flower at the beginning, which may existed before (I think I saw something like this already), and then I realized it can be tessellated as all the edges of the paper are again at the edges of the flower. When tessellated, it doesn't look any more like flower though, but it's rather interesting structure. I especially like the back (or the new front?) of the tessellated thing, as there are those funny compartments where you can store something like eggs! Front side of the golden one is the red tesssellation made from 9 flowers what only creates eggholder for 4 eggs.
Interest simple structure)) perfect for combining with any pleating techniques... any forms, proportions etc.

Somehow, I never published this test, nor developed it further, yet (as it happened with several designs, I'll try to update someday).
This was a test fold of an easy procedure to make non-equilateral triangle twist folds, in this case isosceles triangles (in between squares and a regular octagon).
Then 2019 brought me in different directions following various commitments, but I may take some designs back and work on them next Autumn and Winter.
Or perhaps other people could do it, it's quite simple to try, and I think it may open some interesting possibilities for folding new unusual patterns.

7-Level Fractal Star
Once the oversize folding was over, there was a lot of leftover large paper. So, Aaron, Zander, and myself took one of the 9 foot squares, and made a fractal star, with the goal being to make as many levels as possible. I think we could have gotten one or two more, but considering the inaccuracies in the paper, I think it was wise to stop where we did. This thing is huge- the coffee cup at the top right of the paper should give an idea of its size.

I wanted to shot some unit origami balls when she came. She comes every time I set up my light box. She likes to stay in the light box. Nothing can take her out of the lightbox. I took dozens of shots. And when we could seduce her from the box... I found my camera battery empty :)
The model is the kinda folk sonobe type with my 45-Sonobe grid(kusudama.me/#/45-Sonobe/Malachite_) as a
starting point.

The nice thing is that it's not only many models, but also the paper! which is very nice for the price (currently discounted to 7.5$ at amazon www.amazon.com/Origami-Color-Page---Day-Calendar/dp/07611...). One side of the page is instruction, the other side is colored or patterned paper. There are several sheets without instructions in the beginning, so that you don't need to fold from the same sheet with instructions. There's a link to page where you can download the instructions, so that you don't miss them while folding, which is also nice.
The models are mostly simple, half of them are traditional, the other half is credited to authors (which the beginner books often forget to do). I folded only one model(it's in the picture but is masking a bit): The parrot by Robert Lang (didn't know Robert does easy origami ;)
