"Have you heard the good news...? Spring has arrives in this part of the world....so cheer up, my dearest. Winterwonderland will just be a memory of a cold dream."
Happy Sliders Sunday ;-))
""Hello, how are you? Hope you are doing fine too and in a good shape! Wanna play? ;-))""
Yip, I'm back…..have to find my Flickr-rhythm again though….so I will try to catch up with you all ……
Meanwhile have a nice start of your weekend ;-))
In addition to the renovations and garden work, I continued to fold, of course, no big surprise here ;-))
Here you see an origami cat-model, by Fred Rohm. Folded from a 15x15cm black washi-paper with cuts creating for the legs. Final size: height 12cm, width 8cm.
Interesting to fold ;-))

It is autumn( where I live) and the leaves are changing color and falling from the trees and shrubs. So I folded a few maple leafs, this is the first one.
This one has a nice colorchange for the stem.
The sunlight added a nice shadow. It looks like a strange elephant…., at least in my eyes…;-)

An older origami Buddha design, more abstract, but…. folded from just one piece of paper! It is a very ingenious design, I like it a lot.
I had to wait for the perfect sunlight to make the photo and this morning that moment was there;-))

Folded from six sheets of shiny paper(15x15cm) with an irregular color pattern, which makes this polyhedron even more intriguing ;-).
You see it from different sides, in this triptych. I didn't fold it three times though, just made the photos smaller.
Final size: diameter about 16 cm

HMM!! Happy Macro Mondays, Paper beads, on a paper music covered mannequin, and paper scarf I knitted. Three types of paper art!
Same origami rose bud as my previous photo, (see first comment box), but more blooming. You can very easily add small changes and make every rose look different.
This time folded with purple and green foil (7,5x7,5cm). Final size of these two brooches: about 4x4cm.
Added a little bit of oil paint effect. HSS ;-))

Of course I had to create a new critter for my origami collection. This is a little whale. Super easy to do and cute! I now have made a bear, a fox, a kitty (which I will post later), a boat, a sombrero, and a dress. I wonder what else I can make. :)
This is a paper flower which is about 5 cm.
As you can see, my photo is not origami, but as a Japanese, I am very happy many people choose Origami as an object for this week's theme♡
Wishing you all a very happy Valentine's Day with this shiny origami heart cube ;-))

From a dear friend I could borrow the book 'Origami Vehicles' (by Yoshihide Momomtani) and of course one of the subjects were trains ;-))
Closer examination of the diagrams showed that those trains ( the "Small D51" and the "Big D51" are further developed models of the 'Steam Engine Locomotive', which I showed yesterday (see otherwise the first comment box).
I thought it might be interesting to see that development and that's why I decided to fold all three from the same paper and with the same scale, (also took the photos from a fixed point), so that the differences are more visible.
Here is the result:
- photo bottom left of the 'Steam Engine Locomotive' ( the same model as in the first comment box, but now with folded with different paper)
- photo top right the "Small" D51, both folded from a square double-sided kraft paper24x24cm
- photo on the left shows the "Big" D51 with even more variations. This one is folded from a rectangle (2:3) 24x36 cm
Perhaps unnecessarily to mention, but all models (mostly of what I fold) are folded with just one uncut piece of paper and no use of glue.
Final size small trains: length 13cm, height 5cm, width 3cm
Final size big D51: length 19cm, height 5cm, width 3cm
Have a great start of your weekend!!! ;-))

Macro Monday
Theme: Paper Art
Size: Less than 3x3 inches
The subject is a piece of tissue paper. I sprinkle some water drops on the paper and crunched it randomly to create these shapes.
With a bit of imagination it looks like hills and crumbling icebergs.
There are 2 sources of light , an overhead incandescent table lamp light and a LED torch under neath the tissue paper.
Many thanks for your visit, comments and faves...it is always
appreciated.

A few times a year I have a mini-origami-meeting with a friend, who also love to fold ;-)). Today is such a day. We each select some models to fold and this time I choose this abstract origami model, called "A trapped love", where a cube is surrounded by a thick "line".
When assembling this model you put in the cube halfway, because once the "line" is finished, you can't put the cube in. And when it is "trapped" inside, you can't take the cube out without destroying this "line".
I put the model on a mirror, so I hope you see the "line" better ;-)
It's an idea by Hans -Werner Guth and he was inspired by the origami "Umulius Rectangulum" by Thoki Yenn.

This week i have been kinda late trying to participate the upcoming #macromondays theme. I just finished my Shot for the theme a few minutes ago. Took me a bit more time to get this origami paperboat done as i wanted a small one :) The tiny little fisherman already waited to get on the boat to go out for some fishing :)
Thank you for visits, comments and favs!

Spiral Paper. Wound a strip of A4 paper around a Biro, Then lit it with Adaptalux Studio lighting arms from behind, on a black perspex sheet.
Second phase of the multiplying my origami "Butterfly-molecule". I call it "Duet 2".
As always, I'm still surprised how a tessellation changes by just adding a few new folds (triangles in this case). It's feels like being a magician :-) That's why I love folding, I guess, and I hope I can share that happiness by showing you my creations.
Have a great Tuesday!
Here you can see "Duet 1".

As introduction above the diagrams she wrote:
'""""Be much. Be little.
Plane models such a Christmas wreaths become 3D when you add extra pieces of units to the models or reduce the number of units."""""
So instead of using 8 units to create a flat star or wreath you see here the 'Twinkle Cruller with 6 units' on the left and the 'Twinkle Cruller with 5 units' on the right and they become 3D.
I used gold patterned foil, which gives immediately a Xmas feeling. Sorry for that, it is bit too early........ ;-)) So I did make a monochrome photo as well (see first comment box), but then you might think it isn't paper anymore.
That's why I uploaded them both, because I would like to know which version you like more?
Thanks already for letting me know.
Paper: for both models I used 7,5x7,5cm gold foil
Final size/diameter:
- 6 unit Twinkle Cruller about 9cm
- 5 unit Twinkle Cruller about 7cm
