"There are many possible directions to go from here. The current structure is folded only once. Like paper origami, it is possible to fold multiple times."

In origami there are several designers who design tulips. I can imagine why, it is lovely flower. This is Origami Tulip (in a pot) by Ryoichi Moro.

"""This young athletic rabbit is training for the 'World Rabbits Biggest Jump'. He is very ambitious and super talented as you can see… ;-))
Besides practicing, he has another job to take care of: hiding the eggs. But before that happens the eggs have to pass a final test, lying in the sunshine to see they don't melt and that they shine enough so they can be found ;-)).
Meanwhile the youngest jumps and jumps"""" ;-))

I folded the first three stars from the model "Etoile" by Lydia Diard and I decide to stop now and fold a whole field of stars from an other thicker kind of paper. Two reasons: first, I like the model as it looks now; second, this paper, glassine, is too thin and slippery to fold these stars. But it is very nice paper to take pictures because of its transparency, as you can also see in this very early stage of collapsing the first star.
This is a paper case of the type used to make muffins. it's been cut in half and rolled into a small flower only a few cm across.

An older origami Buddha design, more abstract, but…. folded from just one piece of paper! It is a very ingenious design, I like it a lot.

I made a lot of photos of this little origami King Dragon, because of the various expressions it got, depending on the position of the head, besides that it was fun folding it ;-))
In this shot one can see a figure like mythological person instead of a dragon. That's the reason I show you this last version of this lovely origami model. I processed the photo to give it a more magical look.
In the first comment box you can see two previous photos of the same model.
Enjoy your Sunday and stay safe ;-)

This little wise origami owl came to visit me and decided to stay here. It's such a sweetie, doesn't need much care, just a bit reshaping now and then ;-))
It was designed in 2006 by Yoshio Tsuda, he has created more origami owls, so I decided to make a series.
I used gold foil, 24x24cm.

I thought it might be interesting to show you how just one unit from the origami 'Diamond Bridge 90' and also how the 3 units connection looks like from the outside (see photo on the left) and from the the inside( see photo on the right)
In the first comment box you see all the variations made with this unit.

Folded from six sheets of shiny paper(15x15cm) with an irregular color pattern, which makes this polyhedron even more intriguing ;-).
You see it from different sides, in this triptych. I didn't fold it three times though, just made the photos smaller.

****The older you are, the more you know about Santa Claus," she said. "You are so big now, you know he can't be just one man, don't you? You know he is everywhere on Christmas Eve. He is in the Big Woods, and in Indian Territory, and far away in York State, and here. He comes down all the chimneys at the same time. You know that, don't you?"
"Yes, Ma," said Mary and Laura.
"Well," said Ma. "Then you see--"
"I guess he is like angels," Mary said, slowly. And Laura could see that, just as well as Mary could.
Then Ma told them something else about Santa Claus. He was everywhere, and besides that, he was all the time.
Whenever anyone was unselfish, that was Santa Claus.
Christmas Eve was the time when everybody was unselfish. On that one night, Santa Claus was everywhere, because everybody, all together, stopped being selfish and wanted other people to be happy. And in the morning you saw what that had done.
"If everybody wanted everybody else to be happy all the time, then would it be Christmas all the time?" Laura asked, and Ma said, "Yes, Laura.” ****

HMM!! Happy Macro Mondays, Paper beads, on a paper music covered mannequin, and paper scarf I knitted. Three types of paper art!
I have two black cats, called Lady and Dubh. It's hard to see the difference, because they are black and their behavior is almost identical. I also folded twice this lovely origami cat and made a different photo. Now you can guess who is who ;-))

Another look at the lovely design by Miyuki Kawamura. I turned them on to another side and then they look different than the first photo here.
The name origami "Dualo" came from the polyhedron of the center of the model. Here you can see two modules.
You can make several variations with this nice module:
-The little ones are made from 6 modules each.
-The middle ones made from 12 modules each and you can choose for a 3 or 4 unit of modules, which gives different results.
-For the bigger ones you need 30 modules each and also here the choice is 3 or 5 unit.
I used these 60 modules also for an other pattern.
Each module is folded from 7,5x7,5 cm, duo-colered paper.
Diagrams can be found in the Tanteidan 16th Convention Book.
Two origami-fish abstracts. I folded them both from 20x20cm hand shaped paper.

Of course I had to create a new critter for my origami collection. This is a little whale. Super easy to do and cute! I now have made a bear, a fox, a kitty (which I will post later), a boat, a sombrero, and a dress. I wonder what else I can make. :)
This is a paper flower which is about 5 cm.
As you can see, my photo is not origami, but as a Japanese, I am very happy many people choose Origami as an object for this week's theme♡

The last model in the origami Star-Flower recovered series. Actually this one is made out of two: a small blue (8 units, each 2x2cm, blue kami paper) stuck on a larger one (also 8 units, each 4x4cm, green kamipaper).
In the first comment box, you see the two previous variations.
(I really don't know anymore on what occasion I folded it and if there are any diagrams. Sorry for that.)
As background I used a patterned origami-paper and added a texture.
Have a lovely weekend ahead ;-)
Macro Monday
Theme: Paper Art
Size: Less than 3x3 inches
The subject is a piece of tissue paper. I sprinkle some water drops on the paper and crunched it randomly to create these shapes.
With a bit of imagination it looks like hills and crumbling icebergs.
There are 2 sources of light , an overhead incandescent table lamp light and a LED torch under neath the tissue paper.
Many thanks for your visit, comments and faves...it is always
appreciated.

Another idea of altering my origami-tessellation 'Flower-Star' is to move the pattern and create a new centre, which gives new possibilities, using the same pattern. Hope it makes sense what I write….;-)
This is just a little tessellation to see if my idea would work. I call this molecule "Interweave".
This is how the other side, called "Arrow" looks like.
Folded from a hexagon 15x15cm, 'Anett-Paper', grid 1:32

Spiral Paper. Wound a strip of A4 paper around a Biro, Then lit it with Adaptalux Studio lighting arms from behind, on a black perspex sheet.
A short interruption of my ice-series, because it also Carnival this weekend. And for those who celebrate it, I folded these a pair of twin witch-ladies, a day and a night version ;-))
