Although shooting with only ambient light is easier, I find that the better DOF and better contrast and colors makes flash worth the effort. Just adding enough flash to kiss the subject makes that transition beyond the optimal flash range more gradual. For some reason, flash ghosting hasn't been a big issue. Notice the ideal WB varies depending on how much flash is illuminating the area.

Random kernel panic in High Resolution timer interrupt in 2.6.26.2. Had to put up with a week of random crashes before I could finally capture the stack trace. Disabling HPET solved the stability problem.

Something I've been working on for the upcoming Towel Day. This is still WIP so look back in later for the final version.
Hoy fui al super y me encontré con anaqueles vacÃos. Alimentos como el atún, el aceite, el agua, el arroz, la pasta, la leche... habÃan volado.
I tried opening up my panic button a few days ago, but it turns out the screws that adorn it aren't for turning. They sheared as soon as I took a screwdriver to them.

INFRAâ„¢RED is available in two MANIC PANIC Hair Color formulas: Classic Cream and Amplified Cream.
INFRAâ„¢RED works best when applied to bleached or pre-lightened hair.
On natural light blonde hair this color may work well if left in hair for extra processing time.

Strobe was off camera and was a old Metz potato masher. My model was in the kiosk and operated the test button with his toe. The camera was on a tripod long exposure. This was my first strobist picture this was taken nearly four years ago before I turned pro. However for all its faults it remains my favourite.
Yes, I don't celebrate Easter, well not in this "bunnies and eggs" way and actually not even more in the way I was celebrating in Mexico with my family, so I just do nothing :P
That is why I decided to do this shot, taking the idea of the little egg trying to disguise himself as a "easter egg"... but well, poor guy, he is on the wrong house :P
Anyways, if you celebrate however you celebrate this day, then Have fun!!!
Thanks to Stephi and Gina for helping me drawing the faces on the eggs :)
Press L it looks much much better in Black!
Btw, my Prints giveaway is still open so if you like my work, then you have a chance to win 3 prints 5"x7".
Cheers!!
