Again another sunrise on this beautiful bridge, all the other times i didn't get clouds, but this day i was lucky. It was a little bit of strong wind, and i didn't think twice to use the b+w nd110, to gain some dynamics on sky, not to be too much boring.
I think it was worth one more effort to get up early. Hope you like as much as i do.
This is to my great friend Fernando Almeida, it was a shame that you have not been able to go shooting, more opportunities will arise.

Pershore Abbey interior, Worcestershire, UK. Apparently the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the middle of the image (see highlight) is made from paper mache and has to get cleaned every year....and there are also old paintings on the wall behind it.
7 landscape images taken using a Manfrotto tripod and panhead, the Pentax K5 II paired with the Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 LD Macro 1:2 Lens, Pentax remote then stitched together using Photomerge feature in Photoshop on iMac, and finally tickled in DxO Optics Pro on Mac. Well worth zooming in as there is plenty of detail.......best wishes to all for the week ahead!!!

Fully restored (with some custom options) Harley-Davidson 1950 FL Hydra-Glide. The engine was called a panhead because the valve covers looked like pans.
Thanks to my friend Jacinto Policarpo for the company... and to my friend Manel Monteiro that although we have not photographed together, the challenge came from him!! Thanks buddy's

Detail of St. Clement's, Rodel, Isle of Harris, Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Visited this wonderful little church, so well worth it, seemed to be lost back in it's own time, no decoration on the walls, except for carvings, will hopefully post some other images in the future. Tried to catch some of the light and atmosphere with this shot.
1 Pixel Shift image taken with the Pentax K3 II paired with the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM ART lens, Pentax remote, Manfrotto Tripod and Manffrotto 391RC2 Panhead.. No editing.
Just part of a stain glass window that caught my eye (esp. the artistic interpretation of the face) in Brechin Cathedral, Brechin, Angus, Scotland.

Standard run through in DxO Optics Pro on Mac, then cropped (25% ish), tweaked and then 'framed' in Snapseed on iPad Pro. IMG_1993
Melchizedek was king of Salem. That is the city of Jerusalem. "Salem" comes from the Hebrew word meaning "peace." That would make Melchizedek the "King of Peace" (Hebrews 7:2). The Hebrew name Melchizedek itself means "King of Righteousness" (Hebrews 7:2).

The panhead is an OHV Harley-Davidson motorcycle engine, so nicknamed because the rocker covers resembled cooking pans. The engine is a two-cylinder, two-valve-per-cylinder, pushrod V-twin, made in both 61 c.i. (EL) and 74 c.i. (FL, FLH) displacements. The Panhead engine replaced the Knucklehead engine in 1948 and was manufactured until 1965 when it was replaced by the Shovelhead.
As Harley-Davidson engines evolved, the distinctive shape of the rocker covers led Harley enthusiasts to recognize an engine simply by identifying the head, with names such as "Flathead", "Panhead", "Knucklehead" and "Shovelhead".
The "Captain America" chopper used by Peter Fonda in the movie Easy Rider (1969) had a panhead engine, as did the "Billy Bike" ridden by Dennis Hopper's character.

Jeffs kind of far away look is for his love of PanHeads , he rode them for close to 30 years until 2003 when on a 10$ ticket draw he won his Ultra Glide . He wishes he keep the old Pan he had .
In the off season, I think Santa is a biker. I mean think about it…thumb through any biker mag and what do you see? Forget the obvious bikes, avert your eyes away from the biker chicks flashing their boobs and the drunken beer swilling and what do you have left? That’s right…shirtless fat guys with huge beards! My 3rd entry into the LUGNuts “All But Four”
build challenge is what I’d imagine Santa’s bike to be…an old-timey 1930’s era Christmas themed bobber with a panhead motor and a sidecar full of toys! He has Mrs. Claus there to help him. She’s…um…a little younger than the Mrs. Claus of traditional folklore. Something about a second marriage and a mail order from Russia…I don’t know, I don’t ask questions. Anyway, check out that rack…of antlers behind the front tire and the headlight is red like Rudolph’s nose. I want to wish you all the very happiest of holidays no matter what winter festivities you celebrate…and if you need proof that great minds think alike, check out Nathan (Proudlove)’s newest entry. It’s a little uncanny and not the first time we’ve shared the same ethereal brain. Happy Holidays everyone!
