A vintage panel with hand painted floral bouquet. Simple textures and aging effects added for a rustic, country look.
Apparently a panel of 1000 DIY motorists chose the final design for the cans, but not the girl. That's how the press reported it at the time, in a typically subconscious throwaway sexist manner prevalent in that era. It was also just a rebranding, putting a new design on a product that had already existed. The main body of the can was green and the stripes in red.
An earlier advert from 1968 shows the previous design was rather more staid

The terracotta panel sculpted by George Tinworth of the Doulton China Company. The panel was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1880 and shows Christ on his way to his crucifixion. On the extreme right of the scene is a depiction of Pontius Pilate, whose head is said to have been modelled on the Prince of Wales. The rider at the extreme right of the panel was modelled on General Gordon (Gordon of Khartoum).
What do you call an abandoned farmyard with half a dozen abandoned old cars? Paradise for photographers!
I noticed the KAC panels were looking a bit plain, so I spruced 'em up a bit.
If you can't really tell the difference, you're probably better off not using them lol. also KAC TAUPE IS NOT MAGPUL FDE.
Also, Mine are on the left, preset is the right.

Actually it's a panelled corridor .... at the Rivoli Ballroom, venue for the Magic Theatre. Just the sort of place to wear a retro outfit like this! Many thanks to Terry Nylon for the photo.
This little panel was a special kind of nightmare to put together. It's part of my embarrassingly long-term project. It replaces a boring placeholder slab of unadorned brick shown with a note here.
I like to "sketch with bricks" as I'm building. That is, I'll build simple mock-ups of each section to capture the basic shape, so that I can figure out the overall geometry. I don't worry about the details, because these things are never meant to be part of the final model. Once I have a sense of how the thing will fit together, I rebuild the mock-ups in full detail. This is one such rebuild.
UPDATE: This model is now complete.
