Flakturm IV

Huge flak-tower: anti-aircraft gun blockhouse but also air-red shelters for thousands (up to 25 000 in the last war) of civilians.

Nowadays it is used for music bands to rehearse and part of it belongs to Übel & Gefährlich (Evil & Dangerous), a club playing from techno to jazz.

Palmtrees! This must be Africa!

Windy day...the palms were more than swaying. In fact, a tornado touched down (so they say) a few miles away later that night.

Yea it is cliche, but I like palm trees, because we do not see them in Wisconsin all that often!

the barred feathers on this owl's chest are different from any reference pictures i've found; this owl was in such deep shade that i had to crank up the iso & use a tripod
