this is the "shell" that falls off when the palm tree flower comes out on the royal palms, the seedy things seem to have come off the end of the flowers, pollen scatters everywhere beneath the trees

I was in San Diego for the job fair at HENAAC (Hispanic Engineering National Achievement and Awards Conference) last week, and I had the chance to go to the zoo. I was actually born in San Diego, but my family moved shortly after that and this was the first time back for me.
