A km away from the main beach and half a km from the airport, The Valiyathura Sea Bridge (Kadal Palam) is rusting memory of the sea trade which was once exsistent in Trivandrum, Kerala.
A different view of the bridge from my friend:
Steam Engine WP 7161 named as "Akbar" overtakes a freight at Palam through the loop and marches towards Delhi Cantt.
Although it's tiny, there is a 30mm Aden cannon each side, firing through muzzles beside each air intake, and four pylons for bombs, fuel tanks or rocket projectiles.

Kathedrale von Palma
Die Kathedrale der Heiligen Maria in der spanischen Hafenstadt Palma, der Hauptstadt der Baleareninsel Mallorca, ist die Bischofskirche des Bistums Mallorca. Sie wird im Volksmund oft einfach La Seu genannt, der katalanische Ausdruck bedeutet „der Bischofssitz“.
Nach der Befreiung von der Maurenherrschaft begann König Jaume I. mit dem Bau auf dem Platz einer islamischen Moschee, die Grundsteinlegung erfolgte 1230. Unter Jaume II., dem Sohn des Eroberers, wurde ab 1306 von der Hauptapsis her der eigentliche Bau der Kathedrale begonnen. Sie sollte auch als Mausoleum für das mallorquinische Königshaus dienen; Jaume II. und III. sind hier begraben. Der Bau des Kirchenschiffs wurde 1587 abgeschlossen, das Hauptportal wurde 1601 geweiht. Die Arbeiten an der Hauptfassade begannen 1852 und wurden erst Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts beendet.

Colorazione grigio bruna sul dorso, argentato sui fianchi.

Si trova in tutto il Mediterraneo; si nutre di pesci pelagici e calamari; preferisce abitare le acque calde e non si spinge al di sotto del termoclino.

The TKD WDP4 locomotive with its original cab arrived at Palam (PM) station. This locomotive was previously belong to the KJM (Krishnarajapuram Loco Shed) and has now been transferred to the TKD (Tughlakabad Loco Shed).

Pathimoonnu Kannara Bridge
Pathimoonnu Kannara Palam (13 Arch Bridge) at Kazhuthurutti, is a very beautiful sight in the Kollam district of Kerala. We passed this bridge on our way to Chennai from Alapuzha. It was a very god experience. The bridge which was constructed during the British regim using Surki construction. In this period there were no cement in use for constructions.Pathimoonnu Kannara Bridge
The bridge has 13 arches. Built on 13 arches, this bridge is a commemoration of colonial era. The bridge, sandwiched by the Kollam-Shenkottai National Highway at one side and the River Kazhuthurutti on the other, offers a visual fete at a length of 102.72 metres and 5.18 metres height. Even after 100 years of its construction, the bridge shows no signs of deterioration.
This bridge holds one of India's oldest mountain rails enroute to Thenmala-Chenkotta. This was once used as the major trade route between Quilon (Kollam) and Chennai. The train journey through this route was a very pleasant experience as the train pass through dense forests, long tunnels, steeps and slopes.
This Kollam-Shenkottai meter gauge railway remains as a monument of British Engineering Technology. The route was built mainly for the transporation of crops like Pepper and other spices to Madras from Kollam. Now the meter gauge train service has come to an end in this line for making broad-gauge lines which means the whole line has to be reconstructed. Steps has to be taken to protect this historical monument.
Kallar has wonderful flora and fauna. Large numbers of insects are seen here.Government Horticultural Garden Kallar (கல்லாறு பழத் தோட்டம் ), is located on the mettupalayam – ooty highway at distance of 1 Km from the first hairpin bend. The garden was formed in 1900 this garden is situated at 360 mts above sea level, on a spread of 8.92 Hectares. Fruits such as Lime varieties, Guava, Pomegranite, Jack Fruit, Grapefruit, Panner Guava, Aromatics spices such as Clove, Nut meg, Pepper, Cinnamon, Brinji Leaf, Vennila, Mongoosten, Duriyan, Lychee, Long sot, Rumbootan, Egg plant (Muttai palam),
Elephants movement around this place are very heavy.
