Our mating pair of bald eagles, at Cherry Creek State Park, stay busy adding to their newest nest, bringing fish to the nest and making sure any eggs will be fertilized.
Another very misty day, not quite as foggy as yesterday. Not good for photos but got a record shot of a pair of Egyptian geese
1961 Lakewood Station Wagon and 1964 Corvair Step Van. Nice to see even though they could use some TLC. Would be different if I did not remember when they were new in the Chevrolet showrooms. Seen at the 46th Annual Southeast Old threshers' Reunion at Denton Farm Park in Denton, NC.
This pair of barred owls was seen perched on a snag in Saint Lucie County near Fort Pierce, Florida.

Don't know if this was courtship or conflict! These flies must have spent two minutes or so engaged in this head-to-head, with occasional movement and touching.

Today was a very rainy and windy day in Baden-Würtemberg. Was able to catch this pair of sparrows on our shopping tour in Stuttgart. They were sitting on a bench and waiting for food to drop by :-)
There are now at least 12 pairs of Great Crested Grebe at Carr Mill. On Sunday most were all in the same area chilling out. I have seen 2 sitting on nests. The remainder seem to be doing lots of flirting but dont seem too much in a rush to build nests. Does anyone know if this is usual. Perhaps because the lake is so full of fish they are not in a hurry to breed?
I got a superb picture of these doing their mating dance but I under exposed it so much that I cant clean it up enough in PS to post it.
A pair of Stonechats (Saxicola rubicola) were popping up and down feeding by the fence along the road bordering Titchfield Haven.
Dave pointed out these swans flying across the sea, while we were out at the seafront, so I had to aim quickly and hope for the best!!

The wrens are changing to full plumage at the moment. Some are there already but some not. This male still part-way through the moult.

This pair of images are of one of the groynes on Portobello beach, processed in colour vs black & white. Would welcome any comments about which one works better - I'm a bit uncertain myself!
The groynes make for nice compositional tools, main challenge was getting a window when kids weren't clambering over them ;)
