While walking around Van Courtland Park Lake, I met Kim Power, a friendly and gifted painter, painting my favorite tree by the lake.

I used two elements to create this.
We recently had new windows installed and hadn't replaced the blinds or curtains yet. I noticed that after dark a light on a building across the way caused the pebbled, frosted window in the bathroom to sparkle. It also had some silhouettes of tree branches on it. So I took several photos and used one for my background, turned sideways, & cloned the sparkly parts to hide the tree silhouettes.
I was playing with a new app on my iPad called Flame Painter. I used one of the abstract images I created as an overlay over the window photo. It has a black background which hides much of the window, but leaves a hint of the sparkly effect.
After a struggling time looking for inspiration in seemingly promising woodlands near Pig Bush in New Forest, I came upon a small pond with patches of surface plants and some painterly tree reflections.

Another landscape photo enhanced using texture. The very same landscape to be honest, but with more zoom. I'm generally not a big fan of textures since I like clear details, but there are exceptions. For instance, I'm pretty satisfied with this one. I think the secret is to make the texture seem like a natural element in the composition, and not just some added effect pasted over it.

He is a painter who draw abstract painting with oil color. This day was the first day of his solo exhibition in Tokyo. When I went to see it, there were some people coming to the gallery, and they had held an opening reception.
