Happy Fence Friday!!

Colourful Boats tied up for the evening at Gabriola Island.

Take care and stay safe 😊

An impressionistic haze obscures my sight

Colors swirl, blur, and blend into one

Reality fades

Replaced by an awakened vision

A feast for the eyes

that only I can see

Saturated in oil

Spread thick on canvas

Now part of the image

I've escaped into my creativity

Leave me here to thrive

This is my world

You can have the rest

The highway is named for the Yellowhead Pass, the route chosen to cross the Canadian Rockies. The pass, and the highway are named after fur trader and explorer, Pierre Bostonais. Bostonais had yellow streaks in his hair, and was nicknamed "Tête Jaune" (Yellowhead).

I need a reminder of Italian sunshine! Walls, windows and washing in Venice last year... HWW and HSS

ONE Photographer; TWO Geese and the THREE Sisters near Canmore, Alberta.

And why must there be at least three geese to make a gaggle?

Now why does a couple

not bother to haggle,

Nor go to the trouble

to be dubbed a gaggle.

Take a picture; play with it. Take a picture; play with it. I wonder what I will do next.

Here’s my favourite tree in the park again, taken exactly a week after the photo in the first comment, and given a painted effect in iColorama for Sliders Sunday.

Historically bison were the dominant grazer on the Northern Great Plains landscape. This dominance shaped the landscape by affecting the pattern and structure of the grasses and vegetation that grew. Expansive areas of native grasslands allowed animals to flourish along with many species of other prairie wildlife. ~ WWF

It seems that I've aged more than usual this past year. The fight to not let the circumstances that surround us creep in and play havoc with our psyche is a day to day battle, but I intend to win.

PEGGY'S COVE, Nova Scotia

I took an older image and attempted to give it a painterly feel. I know it will never match the work in progress the artist in this scene is creating.

The view looking west from New Westminster up the Fraser River to the Port Mann Bridge.

According to Wikipedia, the bridge is a 10-lane cable-stayed bridge that opened to traffic in 2012. It is currently tied for the longest cable-stayed bridge in North America with the Bay Bridge in California.

The bridge replaced a steel arch bridge that spanned the Fraser River, connecting Coquitlam to Surrey in British Columbia near Vancouver. After its successor was opened to traffic, the old bridge was demolished by reverse construction

Cheers 😊

Kamiak Butte Park, WA

So I thought after all the hard work and studies for the stars and the partial eclipse,....

I'd stay inside while outside broiled and have some fun with a geranium photo.

Zinnia photographed with a long lens and then 'painted' a bit in Topaz Studio 2.

Photo Art of a wooden boat tied up on the banks of the Allt Cam Carach burn Invercaimbe near Arisaig, Scotland. Painted effect given using Topaz Simplify (BuzSim with mods)

A view from under the bridge.

A digitally painted photo of a joyful coonhound leaping into the air.

Tried a water and reflection effect with putting a painted filter. The boat is from Looe in Devon from a holiday some years ago.

This video “MIX 11” is another selection of images, both graphic, design and Photographic. The idea is to show the range of styles and techniques from right across my wide range of styles. It is followed in my Photostream by individual images taken from the video, but shown as single images at full size. These will appear on my photostream spread over the following week.

There are more examples of these Mixes on my portfolio website :-

I have empathy for those poor crustaceans caught in any trap. I'm not yet growing any tails but I find being stuck at home somewhat akin to being trapped.

Yes I have the option of leaving the house for the right reasons and under appropriate conditions, but I query why my wife just ordered a hot tub, 20 pounds of butter and a large bib.

Saddened and disgusted by the news this week, I've turned to some distractions.

I ran this through DeepDreamGenerator and mixed the original and the DDG version together.

I like this.

I'm going to get a canvas made of it simply because it is so cheery.
