The surfing community of guam (to include all watersports) pays tribute to Andrew Duenas who was reported missing while spearfishing and was found deceased the following morning in the waters of Malesso.
The town of Whangamata is sited on the southeast coast of the Coromandel Peninsula in the North Island of New Zealand. It is located 30 kilometres north of Waihi, to the north of the western extremity of the Bay of Plenty. This photograph shows a paddle boarder enjoying in to the beach.
Porteau Cove Provincial Park is a 56-hectare oceanfront haven for scuba divers, kayakers, stand-up paddleboarders, beachcombers and those just looking for a place to relax by the shore. It's a little bit of oceanfront paradise just a short drive from downtown Squamish.
By day, the park offers plenty of exploring through its driftwood beaches, tidal and intertidal marine life, sunken ships, artificial reefs, picnic areas and pebble beaches. Climb the stairs on the viewing deck and try to spot seals roaming the waters below or walk down to the sandy beach to go for a swim.
Paddlers can enjoy endless views staring out at Anvil Island. The park is also home to a sunken marine park which is a popular spot for scuba divers to explore.
By night, the area is cloaked under some of the darkest skies in the Sea to Sky Corridor with endless stargazing potential.
Reserve one of the cozy Olympic Cabins or book into one of the 44 drive-in and 16 walk-in campsites. Porteau Cove Campground is open year-round with reduced fees in the winter.

A single paddleboarder heads out onto the open waters of the Strait of Georgia off of Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.
In the summer we have a family tradition of driving down to Mudeford on a friday night, getting fish and chips from Alexanders and sitting by the quay to watch the sunset with a flask of hot tea. It's a lovely time enjoying the view, watching paddleboarders on the water, dogs playing and people fending off seagulls. A highlight of my wife's, daughter's and my week
