deceptively calm - the beach was packed with people, smoking barbecues, swimmers, paddleboarders etc. I looked the other way.

Today I took Amber to Southease and we walked down the river and then up onto the downs around Telscombe then accross Telscombe Tye and on to a favourite barn for lunch and then back along the SDW to Southease about 12 miles in all. The weather was dry and the sun did appear from time to time but there was loads to see and so 16 images covering birds the sea ships and shadows silhouettes and reflections.

Gorgeous sunset on the 2 visits here, with an evening barbecue!

I'm sure this doesn't happen to often! The paddle boarder appeared to have fallen asleep and according to a number of people standing on he beach he had been lying, asleep, for at least 30 minutes!!

This is what happens when it is an unusual very hot day!

Thanks to everyone who views this photo, adds a note, leaves a comment and of course BIG thanks to anyone who chooses to favourite my photo .... Thanks to you all!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, I know I did. Had friends over for dinner, which I need to do that more often. Usually we always go out but I actually like cooking. And all my Brit friends will appreciate whose recipes I used- Nigella's and Jamie's. I made Nigella's sticky short ribs and chicken. And Jamie's Spinach, pea and feta salad with lemon dressing as well as chocolate ganache cups with apples and biscuits. (Biscuits are a flat cookie for those who may not know). Sunday went to a surf Expo- totally fun. I LOVED seeing the old vintage boards as well as the wood ones. I have a soft spot for those wood boards. My paddle board is look-alike wood. :) One company handmakes their long boards using retro styles but with a contemporary update. Hmmm...maybe I should take up surfing??? After we went to the beach for picture taking and a deliciouso shrimp taco. Obviously stayed and watched the sunset. Kind of took a lot of pictures of this paddle boarder and setting sun and couldn't just pick one photo. Have a fabulous week!

After just watching the England rugby team beat France in an 'English' Pub (I was only the only Brit in there!) in Marseille, I was wandering back to the hotel when I saw these standup paddleboarders out on the sea. Just as I got out my camera they lined up and struck interesting poses and I was lucky enough to capture the scene.
