At highest tides, the bay (Morro Bay) rises and water flows upstream to flood the creek just inside the South Bay Blvd. bridge, which is just to the right and up the bank.

It was so hot that even the SUPers (stand-up paddleboarders) took to the river in a more restful recline. The normally chilly Columbia River is bathtub warm, the current is still strong, but the winds are out of the West, so everything balances out. Hoist the Colors!

Sydney is home to some of the most amazing beaches you would find just kilometres from the city centre. Yarra Bay is an interesting beach, not the classic surf, sea and sand you would associate with the classic beaches like Tamarama or Curl Curl Beach. This beach combines view to the loading docks and the airport runways, and backs onto a graveyard. It's popular for a rather sedate beach, which is perfect for families with little waves barely passing ankle height. I shot this on film with the Contax 645 medium format film camera Fuji 160 NS film

Following a grocery run on the morning of Saturday, October 29, 2016, I snapped this photo of downtown Austin and Lady Bird Lake (formerly called Town Lake, but actually a reservoir along the Colorado River) as we drove northbound on the MoPac Expressway (TX Loop 1). You can see a number of paddleboarders and kayakers out on the lake enjoying the nice weather. Our condo building -- 360 Condominiums -- is the spire-topped building in the center of the downtown skyline; and you can also see the dome of the Texas Capitol toward the left of the frame. (Apologies for the somewhat poor quality of this photo and reflections, but I took this shot through the window of our moving car...)

Built in the 1800s the lighthouse is no longer used and is privately owned. At New Brighton as the water flows into Liverpool Bay. The paddleboarder one of many enjoying a nice day. It is a Grade ll Listed Building.

Benni was having a wonderful time sniffing all the sand smells and this pretty young woman was one of many paddleboarders enjoying the warm day.

From the distance I noticed this man on his paddle board just getting ready to begin with his "children" on board!! However, when I got closer he just began and I realised that the "children" were two little dogs!!
