Refined yet Practical – Wine Bottle Umbrella
This holiday gift represented a balance between creativity and functionality. A modern minimalist design approach was used to portray KIMBO's signature style. The colours were restricted to black and white to maintain this minimalist sophistication. The rounded angled lines followed the curves of the bottle’s neck and the path that the rain takes as it falls off the edge of the umbrella. The gift was delivered on one of the rainiest days in December.
In Chiba, Japan, there is a wonderful Japanese bathhouse that's entrance is decked out to resemble an old street from the Meiji era in Tokyo. There is a teeny shop cram full of traditional Japanese sweets and that is where I picked these up.
