Along the way interviews and testimonials were gathered from people in the region about the impacts the potential expansion the the Galilee basin will have on their lives and livelihoods. The Carmichael mine could be one of the biggest coal mines in the world should it go ahead and Abbot pt coal terminal expansion would see it become one of the biggest coal ports in the world, at a time when the world needs to move from fossil fuels and stave off irreversible climate change.

yesterday the family and i did something different for a change. getting tired from driving through traffic, we opted to park our car at a mall parking then took the point to point bus, that was recently introduced by the government, to get us to our destination. the bus is a luxury coach and very comfortable although the fare is more expensive than the regular bus fare. this is a service more suited for a tourist than a regular passenger going to work unless you're an executive. the approximately 7kms drive took us about an hour
