sandy bay, 200 kodak overprocessed

This was for a brochure I designed.

A co-worker suggested a slight detour on my commute to avoid 2 lights; Friday afternoon seemed like a great opportunity to try out a newer, faster route to get me home for Friday Nap sooner. I was zipping along, blasting good music, enjoying the glorious weather and the novelty of a new road when I saw an abandoned (but not creepy) white church on the side of the road. I flew past it and then immediately regretted it. I tried to tell myself I'd just come back and take pictures some other time, but honestly? A Friday afternoon as gorgeous as this one was made for stopping on the side of the road for photos!

I ended up spending about 20 minutes taking photos and loved every minute of checking out the church, it's cool shingles and flaking paint, it's old dried up phone book garbage, it's little lady bugs (not pictured), and it's fabulous old cemetery. Then I got back in the car and navigated the unfamiliar route back to the highway... where I promptly chose the on-ramp for the highway going the opposite direction from home. Damn this horrid sense of direction! Oh well. At least I had fun before adding 14 extra miles to my drive home.

I think I overprocessed this. Actually I was just playing around with Photoshop. :)

Creo que sobreprocesé esta imagen. En realidad jugaba con Photoshop.

This is somewhat overprocessed to make the splash of water stand out against the sky. Shot in Bracebridge.

Not yet overprocessed. Which is better?

but i like it. i think it looks

different and cool :)

First try with Adox Ortho 25. Unfortunately my lab's processor had a breakdown and these were overprocessed. In addition to some marks the contrast is much higher than I had wanted, but you get the basic ortho idea. I have another roll that I will be shooting shortly and I hope this will work as intended.

Shot with my Speed Graphic, 6x7, 101mm Optar, on a tripod (of course) due to the low ISO.

Smash Mouth reference or conventional cliche - see it as you might.

Overprocessed?

Overprocessed but interesting Heuchera.

The misty nature of the day rendered the massive Tianjin harbor as something mystical. I shot several photos of activity in the harbor and rendered them to show off the mysteriousness. I decided to play with this image a bit and try to not "overprocess" it.

This picture was highly cropped and I probably overprocessed it. She's a very pretty young lady and didn't need much photo editing in the first place.

I think this looks a little overprocessed on flickr?...maybe 50mm & wynona seasons action

...fooling around with a new editing program, hence the synthetic veneer...

View Large on Black... it's worth it!

A brief spot of sunlight appeared this afternoon so I jumped out to get a photo near the Leiden University Law Faculty. Yes, the image is HDR, processed entirely in Photoshop (and, by extension, ACR). Although because HDR has a reputation for giving birth to hideously overprocessed images, I decided to try it out on this image anyway: a single exposure couldn't capture what I saw, and this is the closest I could get.

Comments, of course, welcomed!

Just playing around with Topaz Adjust.. Yes, I know it looks fake and overprocessed.

Due to bad planning on my part, I ended up with 2 dead batteries only a day and a half into our weekend away. So, you get a really crappy and processed shot of me with a lobster, which I then proceeded to devour several minutes later.

At least the lobster was delicious.

This one's okay, in a blurry and overprocessed kind of way.

I'm just messing around with lightroom on some of my recent shots. Feel free to ignore.

(Alella, 2009) This glass is weirdly treated (thick, textured and bumpy), in a way that it makes it look like digitally overprocessed or even oil painted. But actually it is the real glass texture -as is- what is seen in the photograph.

Thanks to SummerStreets '09 this shot would not be possible otherwise.

Inspired by Cameron Grant from Las Vegas, I really tried over processing this one. It's not as good as his usually are, but I had to try.

Overprocessed street impression.

I know, looks a little overprocessed, and I did process it a bit, but not much... it really was impressive. Taken on the hill of the Westbury white horse, what a wonderful place for a sunset.

Processing: saturation by Picmonkey.

I don't mess with HDR very much, but this series of shots cried for it. I tried not to overprocess it too much.
