Argh - I tried adding smoke coming out of the outlet and I just couldn't get it to look realistic enough. I decided to stick with this simple version.

In the age of digital media more and more people are experiencing information overload. Introducing well thought out infographics into your communication mix can be a good way to make your information and ideas more "sticky".

This photograph was taken from Dhaka's Airport Train Station. People were returning home during Eid Holiday to celebrate. Eid Ul Fitar with their family. There were no seat inside the train but they took maximum risk to join their family during Festival

Sometimes our heads get overloaded with daydreams and our imagination goes too far. Or is there such a thing as too far? Sky's the limit.

With enough EMD's to make just about any railfan rejoice and forget for a moment about the ge world we live in, T4 heads west just out of Eagle as they hustle parallel to highway 59. Not many railroads today can offer this good of a lash, and do it with some consistency.

India - I think it has a load of cotton bolls. The wheel dropped off ! :)

Sights like this are common in India - a lot of the time it is the camels who carry loads similar to this (relative in size). You just see legs and a head. :)

Blue Bell's chocolate ice cream is terrific all by itself, but adding peanut butter cups and cookie dough adds up to one delicious treat. (It also adds up to 280 calories, but at this point, who cares?)

Even better, the store required the purchase of two to qualify for the sale price (which is the only way I can afford this stuff) so there's another half-gallon of Cookies & Cream after this tub bites the dust.

The destruction and demolition of our city's beloved Coral Springs Financial Plaza Building ... it was first built in 1974. The removal is to facilitate a new multi-million dollar City Center. Our city was founded in 1963 and at that time, a few blocks from here, Johnny Carson was one of the first people to buy a few lots in our city after he made it to our celebratory 'open of the city day' and party. On a personal note; Laura and I both worked in this wonderful building in the 70's, 80's and 90's, and we have many happy memories of friends in this fine building, and watching our city being built around us with the city's founder, Laura's wonderful employer; Coral Ridge Properties and Westinghouse, Inc. - Laura made it as far as the upper-penthouse floor (above), along with the mayor, and I can remember her going out on the roof with the VIP's in the morning sometimes to watch the shuttle launch to the east over the Atlantic. All of us old-timers will miss this building that we all loved so very much. Thanks for looking.

Completed in 1974, the 10-story Coral Springs Financial

Plaza was the tallest building west of Interstate 95 in

Broward County. The building was demolished in 2021.

*[disclaimer: in no way does this have anything to do with the recent Surfside Condo Collapse that happened in Miami just a few months ago. We are on stable ground here, 12 miles from the ocean, and this removal is to update our city into the 21st Century with shops, condo units, and the start of some new downtown development for the enjoyment of our city, moving forward. This is Phase Two as the beautiful new City Hall was just recently completed right next door.]

People of Flickr - I need your good advice, please (and sorry for the long rant).

As you can see from the photo, I ended up at Llyn Padarn again over the weekend - and *that* tree is always an attraction, regardless of the fact that it is probably the most over-photographed tree in the world.

So - having slept the night in my van in the carpark, I got up in the dark and made my way to the waterside, well before first light. I was just getting set up and playing with some compositions, still in the almost complete darkness, when this group of people arrived en masse. The headlights on their vehicles ruined my first couple of shots, and they then stood watching me with their head torches on, until they got the idea that it might be good to turn them off....

I am pretty sure this was a photography course/holiday of some kind as they seemed to be getting tuition from the man standing at the back of the group. He kept talking about how it was nearly 'blue hour' (which it was) and this was clearly why they had come.

What to do? While I was standing in the water in my wellies, I was in their way, but having had this situation happen to me before, I was reluctant to move aside. AND, although I hadn't paid hard cash for my 'experience', I had driven nearly 5 hours the day before and got up insanely early to get my shots.

Of course - I moved, feeling the power of the group at my back, not wanting to ruin anyone else's day, and in the belief that we could somehow share the light. So effectively, I 'gave' them the blue hour - and hoped they would then move aside - or even just make room for me - so that I could take my shots (even if they would not be the ones I planned).

But they did not move or try to make space for me at all. I got increasingly fed up and angry as the morning (and the light) moved on, and eventually pushed my way back in, although the best light was over by that time. I could also hear them all whispering about me, which was not nice.

So what is the protocol here, people? Is it possible to share the light? To help each other out even if we are in different circumstances and only some of us paid to be there? What would you have done in the same situation?

Music Overload?..

This is what you get for playing music non-stop! =)

I wonder why I overeat on every holiday. When will I get the wisdom to know that each holiday is not my last meal.
