The Rev. Wayne Alloway welcomes pastors to the annual Orders and Fellowship gathering, which was hosted at his church, St. Mark's United Methodist.

 

The Orders and Fellowship gathering for Great Plains clergy was held Jan. 21-22, 2015, at St. Mark’s UMC in Lincoln, Nebraska.

 

Our featured speakers were the Rev. Jay Hanson, senior pastor, and Anne Bosarge, director of discipleship, from The Chapel, a United Methodist congregation in Brunswick, Georgia. Their messages focused on growing church leaders with a theme of "High Def Leadership Development".

 

The sermon at closing worship was given by the Rev. Karyn Wiseman, associate professor of Homiletics and director of United Methodist Studies at Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia.

Unclaimed orders from the Bullfrog Bagels food truck, Tenleytown, Washington, DC

San Francisco, California. On a brick wall beside air raid shelter poster, exclusion orders were posted at First and Front Streets directing removal of persons of Japanese ancestry from first San Francisco section to be affected by evacuation. The order was issued April 1, 1942, by Lieutenant General J.L. DeWitt, and directed evacuation from this section by noon on April 7, 1942.
