This picture has been taken for a comic life story called "Darling" and displayed on our website : www.kwikstori.com, if you want to read the story, you can go there ! It is a story about a single lady having trouble to find a lover.
This is from a ferry view approaching the Gateway.
This Gateway doesn't look that big in pictures because it is so large that in order to get the full building into the picture, you have to back up pretty far.

In the days when even large buildings didn't have central heating there were many jokes directed against people who "hogged the fire."
One of my favourites is the long story (if you wish to tell it you can fill in the details yourself) that finishes with the line, "Oh Hell! It's just like here on Earth. You can't see the fire for bloody curates."
This afternoon I have been scooting between the sunny workshop deck and the sewing machine working on an order for Dove Cottage, Wordsworth's home.
This shows a part of the order - pocket mirrors stacked up in one of the old wooden seedtrays I use for sorting things
While walking along via Indipendenza in Bologna my eyes were captured by this image.
Must have been the relation between the architecture and the naked trees.
Or the fact they both look completely dead.

At this point I've designed the logo, the website and a poster for the Hometown Lecture series. Sorry that these progress images are more about thinking and less about looking.
Most of the work I'm doing for the project now involves research, coordinating artists and ideas, and ordering things to proceed with producing releases.

Placed orders with:
Boxcar Press for a polymer plate of the logo (so I can letterpress onto covers of zines, fliers, etc)
Rose City Stamp so i can stamp the logo onto relesases
and Pinball Publishing, to cut me down some chipboard pieces to cut out the cassette tape packaging.
Need to set up an online store.
Does anyone know a good place to do it? Etsy? Big Cartel? Have any experience with these types of things?

I quite like the disorganized straight bits of metal contrasted against the uniform, neat dish thing.
Site of urban legend which just isn't true - a compelling story nevertheless. I've been lucky to meet Mr Simpson twice now, most recently today, he's getting on in years. He has huge hands and fingers - I guess that must be a plus working with these enormous bits of metal.
So I'm sitting at home, watching Law & Order, when I see this officer through the side window. I says to myself, "Oh no! Now I'm apart of Law & Order!" I follow him to the back yard and he asks if I have any dogs. I say No and he continues his search. I was a little worried because Mimi was in the back yard somewhere. So i throw my shoes on and head to the front yard, when I notice there is a helicopter circling the houses. I look down the street and there is a cop car and a few other police looking around. Then this K9 unit runs down the street as other police close in on whoever they were looking for. This lady comes up to me and informs me that there is a burglar suspect on the loose and he is in the area. After even more police show up, they all gather near a specific house down the street where the suspect is now holding hostages [apparently]. After many negotiations, the suspects (yes that's plural) exit the home with a baby in one hand and the police arrest the two people.
These cool letters are created by pressing newsprint paper pulp into plastic letter shaped molds. The letters are left to dry and then decoupaged with vintage sewing patterns using Mod Podge. The letters measure between 2.5" and 3" high.
I'm starting to think the more valuable life skill is not striving to create order, but learning how to live with disorder.
