Xcaret Eco Park on the Riviera Maya in Mexico.
The Orchid House at Xcaret seems to have been made smaller than it used to be. It also contains flowering Bromeliads as well as Orchids. And a cat, who was intently stalking a lizard on the wrong side of the glass!
Next to the Orchid House is a laboratory where new young plants are bred in vitro. The public are not allowed in there, as it must stay sterile.
I could not find the identification tag for this orchid, but I thought it was very pretty as it hung in front a large frond.
Orchids by Hausermann in Villa Park, Illinois, was founded in 1920, selling sweet peas, roses, and later gardenias, and began acquiring orchids in 1935. The sale of orchid plants and flowers commenced in 1959, and its former Plant Department was founded in 1970 as Orchids by Hausermann to serve the hobbyist as well as the professional. It boasts more than 4 acres of plantings.
