Here we see all the flowers of the large orchid.

Slender spire orchid growing in mountain big sagebrush steppe at the southwest margin of the Spanish Peaks near Jack Creek Road, Madison Range, Madison County, Montana. Slender spire orchid is most often a understory or forest edge orchid but at this site this orchid grows among the mountain big sagebrush in good ecological condition. Of the Piperia species, Piperia unalascensis has the shortest petal spur, which averages mostly 3-4 mm long (about as long as the lip).

This species is from Sikkim and Southern Yunnan Province in China across to Vietnam and Peninsular Malaysia
