Wait a minute they’re upside down, the yellows on the bottom! 😂😂. The leaves turned yellow and fell quite quickly. This painterly appearance is created within camera movement, panning up and down.

The shot was framed at sunrise during Labor Day weekend just outside my tent at Thousand Island lake, John Muir Wilderness accessible by a fairly well maintained backcountry trail that includes a section of PCT.
