M91 (NGC 4548) is a barred spiral galaxy. It is called “barred” due to the presence of billions of stars, gas, and dust aligned in a way that creates the impression of a bar crossing the galaxy’s center. The ends of the bar are where the galaxy’s spiral arms begin.

M16, the Eagle Nebula. This is a famous nebula because of the structure that exists at its center: the Pillars of Creation, gigantic columns of gas and dust where new stars are being born. This is the most detailed image I have ever taken of this nebula, captured from a Bortle 8 location.

NGC 891, a spiral galaxy (like the Milky Way) viewed edge-on. The angle at which we see this galaxy is almost perfectly side-on, which gives us a stunning view of its thin disk and the dark lane of dust that splits it in half. Can you see it like we see the Milky Way's galactic plane from Earth?

NGC 6751, a very small planetary nebula! Nicknamed the "Dandelion Puffball Nebula" or "Bright Eye Nebula", it is formed by colorful rings of gas ejected from its star. Because it is so small, it is difficult to resolve larger details. The central star is turning into a white dwarf, "lighting up" the ejected gas. First image is a crop.

NGC3132, a Nebulosa do Anel do Sul. Minha segunda captura deste objeto!
NGC3132, the Southern Ring Nebula or Eight Burst Nebula. My second capture of this object! Located about 2,000 light-years away in the constellation Vela, this is a planetary nebula — the result of the final stages in the life of a Sun-like star. As it expels its outer layers, the central star — now a white dwarf — illuminates the surrounding gas, creating this bright and colorful display!

NGC 253 (Sculptor Galaxy), located about 11.4 million light-years from Earth in the Sculptor constellation. It is famous for its intense star formation, with visible dust lanes and H-alpha emissions. It is an excellent target for astrophotography, with an angular size of approximately 27 arcminutes, making it nearly the same apparent size as the Full Moon seen from Earth! Capture taken in Chapada dos Veadeiros.

M65, M66 e NGC3628: These spiral galaxies are part of the Leo Triplet, about 35 million light years away. M65 is inclined and M66 has spiral arms twisted by gravitational interactions. The third galaxy is seen edge-on, known as Hamburger Galaxy due to the dust in its center. NGC3593: The fourth galaxy, to the right and outside of the triplet, is a low-light galaxy with stars rotating in opposite directions, a curious phenomenon!
