The seventh course, a cheese course, was a Fromart d'Alpage, a firm Gruyere-style raw cows milk cheese from Switzerland. It was served with salt-crystallised walnuts and sauvingnon blanc poached apples and a selection of crackers and crispbreads. This course was also optional and served in addition to the set 6-courses.

Tonight's the night! Months ago, I got a group together to go to the Whitaker Center for a Sound of Music Sing-a-long. Believe it or not there weren't enough people in Central PA that were interested, and the show was cancelled. So we are creating our own music party at the home of someone who has a big TV. Just picture a bunch of grown-ups singing "These are a few of my favorite things." I'm smiling already!

Optional Round Socks: Socks That Rock clearance colours and 3mm addi lace circulars...they are nearly that bright! I love the way the pooling mirrored on the other foot, you can't plan stuff like that.

Austria Trip, Day 8: St Anton am Arlberg, Austria.
St Anton, is a village and ski resort in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It lies in the Tyrolean Alps, with aerial tramways and chairlifts up to 2,811 m (9,222 ft), yielding a vertical drop of 1,507 m (4,944 ft). It is also a popular summer resort among hikers, trekkers and mountaineers.

We weren't really sure what to expect from this optional excursion but for just over €20 it turned out to be the best trip within our holiday to Austria!
We caught the Arlberger ski lift right up to the top of one of Austria's mountains on a beautifully warm summer day. You have to get off halfway to catch it again at another station to get right to the top!
The views over St. Anton below will forever be one of the best we have ever experienced. The mountains surrouding us were still covered in snow which had been occurring up to the end of May apparently. We even ended up having a snowball fight after discovering how fresh the snow still was.
We sat at the small cafe right at the top and had some tea and coffee with a bowl of chips and inhaled the fresh air whilst soaking up the spectacular views. The pictures show it no justice whatsoever unfortunately and it's definitely something that needs to be appreciated in reality.
