The old analog handset in the center console may be hilarious, or give you street cred(?), but it doesn't actually work with any current network in the US. And its insistence of constantly turning on and beeping at me loudly whenever I pressed the phone button(*) on my steering wheel got quite annoying.
So I decided to at least disable the phone by unplugging its control unit in the trunk, until I get a Euro armrest to permanently delete the phone.
(* Press and hold the phone button to activate Siri through your MediaBridge!)
First, remove the trim around the CD changer:
1) Remove the plastic pin (use pliers to pull out the center pin, then pull the rest out)
2) Pull near the back end, and guide the trim over the top of the CD changer as shown in the picture
"Take II". Our second major show featuring the Legend Band and Dancers. This was a tribute to Hollywood. A wonderful production.
Optional Continental spare was very trendy in 1956, but adds 10 inches to the tail and makes trunk access problematic. Its extra weight (from the lengthened, reinforced bumper) is not exactly what this car needed, either.
Optional 1/2 inch wire fabric acts as an under-floor rodent barrier, optional rigid under-floor insulation
We worked on removing and recycling the metal drop ceiling in the old gym to begin converting the room to a woodshop. We're planning to replace the lights and organize storage to create space for a maker space model woodshop for local woodworkers and special workshops.

March 1-30, 2014; 11:57pm - midnight every night. Zach Nader’s optional features shown is comprised of short segments of car commercials in which the text and representations of cars and people have been digitally removed. Nader deliberately misuses a software tool meant to aid in the removal of minor imperfections, and the resulting visuals reflect upon the scripted nature of image creation and editing. The all context/no content of the video points to the reliable nature of product choice and advertisement.
“I am interested in what is left after the impetus for creating the initial product is removed from the videos. What value remains?” said artist Zach Nader.

Mercedes-Benz 230SL - 27d
"Nice little model of the second generation Mercedes-Benz SL made from 1963 to 1971, known as the 'Pagoda' because of the shape of it's optional hard-top roof, of course this version has no roof, so the point is a bit lost really.
The Matchbox model spanned the period between regular wheels and Superfast and is found with both black plastic regular wheels or Superfast wheels. It has opening doors.
Matchbox released its 230SL in 1966 with black plastic regular wheels. the regular wheels version is always white, off-white or cream with a red interior.
In 1970 it was converted to Superfast wheels initially remaining off-white with red seats. Early Superfast models were fitted with narrow wheels, later cars were fitted with wider wheels and the wheel arches were enlarged to accommodate them, spoiling the look of the car in my view.
In 1971 the body colour was changed to yellow, retaining the red seats. In the same year the seats were changed to black and the model was always yellow with black seats after this point until its deletion in 1973.
Regular wheels versions are fairly common as are the later yellow wide-wheel Superfasts with black seats.
Most desirable is the early white narrow wheels Superfast, followed by the yellow car with red seats."

"The French license text as mentioned above ("opening doors - license Solido") was printed on the end flap closers of all except the earliest D type boxes for 53b and 71b (from about 1965 onward) and of all E and F type boxes for models with opening doors. With the G type boxes first issued in 1970 this feature was discontinued."

Mercedes-Benz W113
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"The Mercedes-Benz W 113 is a two-seat roadster/coupé, introduced at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show, and produced from 1963 through 1971.
It replaced both the legendary 300 SL (W 198) and the 190 SL (W 121 BII).
Of the 48,912 W 113 SLs produced, 19,440 were sold in the US.
The W 113 SL was developed under the auspices of Mercedes-Benz Technical Director Fritz Nallinger, Chief Engineer Rudolf Uhlenhaut and Head of Styling Friedrich Geiger. The lead designers were Paul Bracq and Béla Barényi, who created its distinctive, patented, slightly concave hardtop, which inspired the "Pagoda" nickname.
All models were equipped with an inline-six cylinder engine with multi-port fuel injection. The bonnet, trunk lid, door skins and tonneau cover were made of aluminum to reduce weight. The comparatively short and wide chassis, combined with an excellent suspension, powerful brakes and radial tires gave the W 113 superb handling for its time. The styling of the front, with its characteristic upright Bosch "fishbowl" headlights and simple chrome grille, dominated by the large three-pointed star in the nose panel, paid homage to the then already legendary 300 SL roadster.
W 113 SLs were typically configured as a "Coupe/Roadster" with a soft-top and an optional removable hardtop.
A 2+2 was introduced with the 250 SL "California Coupe," which had a fold-down rear bench seat instead of the soft-top."

230 SL (1963-1967)
"Production of the 230 SL commenced in June 1963 and ended on 5 January 1967.
Its chassis was based on the W 111 sedan platform, with a reduced wheelbase by 30 cm (11.8 in), recirculating ball steering (with optional power steering), double wishbone front suspension and an independent single-joint, low-pivot swing rear-axle with transverse compensator spring. The dual-circuit brake system had front disc brakes and power-assisted rear drum brakes.
The 230 SL was offered with a 4-speed manual transmission, or an optional, very responsive fluid coupled (no torque converter) 4-speed automatic transmission, which was popular for US models.
From May 1966, the ZF S5-20 5-speed manual transmission was available as an additional option, which was particularly popular in Italy.
Of the 19,831 230 SLs produced, less than a quarter were sold in the US.
The 2,308 cc (2.3 L) M127.II inline-six engine with 150 PS (110 kW; 150 hp) and 196 N⋅m (145 lb⋅ft) torque was based on Mercedes-Benz' venerable M180 inline-six with four main bearings and mechanical Bosch multi-port fuel injection. "

"A brief chronology of the most notable changes made to the 230 SL:
- 10/1963: First 230 SL with automatic transmission.
- 09/1964: Spare tire well removed, tire mounted horizontally.
- 11/1964: Optional tinted/thermal glass and new soft-top with steel bows (distinguished by missing chrome trim on the outer trailing edge).[9]
- 04/1964: US models with radio Becker Europa TR instead of Europa TG.
- 08/1965: Some harmonization with new W 108/W 109 sedans, incl. new floor panels, combined brake and clutch fluid reservoir, trunk light and interior changes. US models with hazard lights.
- 03/1966: Mounts for three-point seat belts added.
- 05/1966: Optional ZF 5-speed manual transmission; rare and now very desirable."
