Last night I felt quite optimistic and ventured out to find Comet c/2022 E3 (ZTF). While I knew that the comet would pass close to Mars, I was quite surprised it had moved from the north to the south. That meant I could photograph the much sought after winter constellation, Orion. According to Stellarium, the comet and Mars would appear to the top right of Orion, and then according to PlanIt pro I should see the comet, Mars, and Orion cross over Quechee Gorge.
I really wanted to use my Move Shoot Move tracker to either freeze Orion in the sky for a long exposure (more than 30 seconds), or get a long exposure of the comet. However with my Rokinon 14mm lens sticking through the eyehole in the fence, I didn't feel comfortable setting up the tracker while it moved the camera and lens on its own through that small space. I couldn't find comet ZTF in the sky, but I was quite pleased with how nicely Orion came out over the the gorge with Pleiades in the top right. I zoomed in on Mars in post, but there's not enough detail to see comet ZTF.

What is marriage?
the more I go to school, the less I see myself taking
that direction anytime soon. As in matter of fact, I
think that most girls who do so [without aiming at something/
or accomplished a little] take the easy way out.
I*m sure marriage is beautiful. when the time is right.
but saying you had a child at 20... never really had a [real] job..
never really fully provided for your own needs, but were merely
being [dependant] on the [main] provider of the household... is EGH.
i*m sure it*s good for the skin and those girls sleep "8hrs", and therefore
that "trophy wife" title is part of the package...
but i really don*t see myself.
just being a "trophy wife"... i want to accomplish my goals.
before all of that. i want to be able to say I DID SOMETHING... to my kids.
not just. "your father and I fell in love young. and then you came along. I
never went to college. I never really worked. I had a part time, though..."
I don*t know.
that*s my personal opinion. on my personal choice.
that*s [all].
I love orange, just looking at this tiger lily makes me happy..and reminds me of summer!
Happy Easter =)

youth group is fab at the moment, and has been for the 20 years we've run it... but there's a moment where the memories come to get me and for the past few weeks I've let the memories win. but, this week, I feel a bit better, and, coincidentally, so does Stylus t. Frog.
Wanted to try out the camera on the iPad 2. Trinity was my less than willing subject. :)
She finally cooperated, hoping it would mean a treat.

"If you can see your feet, obviously you're not looking up, and you know where that'll get you in life? Walked headlong into a pole."
I will get this tattooed somewhere on my foot when I'm older. Perhaps not like this, but it will be there, even if it's tiny.

Hanging a suet cage where the squirrels can't get to it is a challenge, but not one this lovely Downy can't handle.

I really like this one only because of the color. It was such a nice, sunny day, maybe the last oppurtunity to take photos in good wheather until next spring. This flower seemed so sunny and made me feel quite optimistic all of a sudden :D
Be optimistic. After looking at this picture for quite some time, I realized that this photo gives off a feeling of optimism for me. The look in her eyes and her looking up makes me feel like she is keeping an open mind and keeping her eyes open for new things. I had a quote written down from a long time ago and it says “Few things in the world are more powerful than a positive push. A smile. A world of optimism and hope. A 'you can do it' when things are tough.” -Richard M. DeVos. I know few people that have super open minds and will give anyone positive pushes, but Jocelyn (the girl in photo) is one of those people. . I originally took this photo for the biggie small’s challenge, hoping to have an Alice in Wonderland theme by having her look like a giant and the teacup look tiny. I made the colors more vibrant but then took away some of the saturation and I enhanced the contrast. Also, I made the whites, whiter and the blacks, blacker.
